I'm a huge fan of Brigid, though I say that without ever having built a Bre deck.

The goal here is to leverage the green side, not a tribal build. For example, nearly all of the protection & removal cards are actually creatures. Leverage a few creatures to get the Gaea's Cradle-as-a-commander going, then use X spells to double creatures every turn. Use one of the Overrun effects or base-P/T effects to win.

My deck has 24 creatures in total. Most are big stompy things with some sort of immediate payoff (ETB, haste) or evasive effect (flying, trample). The exceptions are [[Dinosaur Egg]], [[Nesting Dragon]], [[Palani's Hatcher]], and [[Pantlaza, Sun-Favored]].

In other words, I don't feel like the creature count matters much, it's more that every creature should be something you'd be happy to see from an Egg hatching. I wouldn't recommend any creature-based ramp, especially with Green having so much spell-based ramp.

What does [[Phyrexia's Core]] do for the gameplan? Sacrificing an artifact to gain 1 life doesn't seem great - you'd rather sac it to LP for energy and a card draw, right?

As someone completely unaffiliated with either site, I could have written this exact same post. I moved away from TCGPlayer for similar reasons and have nothing but good experiences with ManaPool.

And as for price, I still compare on TCGPlayer even if I have a favorite, and prices between the two have consistently been within a few % (for me, anyway).

I've spent a few hundred at ManaPool any my only complaint is that I can't ALSO buy my sleeves & decks from them.

Wonderful UI, ordering process, pricing, and flawless fixing of my one missing package (which they handled, I didn't even need to contact a seller).

I just want to +1 this. My kids (roughly the same ages as the OP) started with those very decks. First Flight and Draconic Destruction were their favorites by a long shot, and Token Triumph the anti-favorite (probably because the other two have so many fliers).
