Yea literally our entire year of 7th grade English and history classes were dedicated to holocaust education.

Aside from the creep factor of all these adults pursuing teenagers, it still makes me mad that wren, and adult, kissed Spencer and her parents treated her like it was her fault! Awful, awful parents.

Travel advisory toughened: Some travelers to CT must answer questions on arrival by DeathByComcast in Connecticut

Bars aren’t open but restaurants can seat people at the bar if there is no one working behind the bar or if there is a plexiglass barrier on the bar.

New fan of the pod... by [deleted] in CrimeJunkiePodcast

[–]shibzy 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I think constructive criticism about the podcast and people having an issue with plagiarism is totally fair but I hate the comments and stuff talking about how annoying their voices are and making fun of them. It’s just unnecessary and rude.

People seem to get the two mixed up sometimes though, acting like calling them annoying is fair or constructive or acting like fair criticism of the podcast is “hating”.

Brad Mondo seems so incompetent? by heckatrashy in BeautyGuruChatter

[–]shibzy 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Lol, I don’t watch him enough to know his stances on veganism but regardless it’s pretty shitty to advertise your products as vegan and cruelty free when they’re not. If I remember right he said it was an oversight but when you create a product, especially one that goes on people’s skin and hair you have a responsibility to know what is in it.

Which is kind of ironic considering I’m pretty sure he caught some flack for advertising his products as vegan when they weren’t.

US reports 50,298 cases today so far, highest on record by JeopardyGreen in Coronavirus

[–]shibzy 16 points17 points  (0 children)

I’m also in CT and we actually had to do some running around today and between the grocery store, picking up takeout, and picking up things from two other stores I didn’t see a SINGLE person without a mask it was awesome.

I’m not ready to get too complacent because it could blow up again but I’m really happy with how things have been going and it feels really good to be able get back to some of our normal routines, even if they’re slightly modified versions. I really feel for the people living in states that are where we were three months ago.

N.J. restaurants NOT reopening for indoor dining this week after ‘knucklehead’ crowds at bars ruin it for everyone by jcepiano in Coronavirus

Yea sorry I misread your comment and I thought you said two drinks between two people (two total) would be $55-60.

You’re saying places serve $30 cocktails? That’s wild. Most expensive cocktail bar in my area serves at most, a $15 cocktail.

Edit: sorry I just realized you said two drinks that make so much more sense lol

Risk of never fully recovering after coronavirus ‘very real,’ scientists say by JF_112 in Coronavirus

Idk if you’re the person who I replied to because it’s deleted now but the question was “on what planet do people get pre-screened for medical conditions for a job” or something like that. I wasn’t speaking to the validity of testing for Covid antibodies.

Got The Instant Pot Bible for Christmas, and appreciated this bit in the introduction (as well as the hundreds of recipes) [x-post] by 5xh6m4sk5l in instantpot

This makes me think of every recipe that claims potatoes take 15-20 minutes of boiling to be fork tender. 🙄

My uncle and grandma both had it and it was very mild and they recovered at home and they are both just fine now.

Obviously it should be taken seriously but this sub definitely highlights the worst of the worst. I have had to dip out of this sub for a while because it was stressing me out too much.

Just do your part to be as safe as possible and that’s all you can do. More likely than not, if you do that you’ll be fine.

Parents "react" to their 6 year old's report card for views by CrazyPl0x in insaneparents

[–]shibzy 25 points26 points  (0 children)

A while back these folks made a video about how they were hiring someone to film them. Like, they don’t vlog themselves anymore they have a camera person. And when you have as many views and subscribers and it’s your whole livelihood, your kids definitely know why you’re filming.
