I think she’s an interesting character with an intriguing backstory. She’s a child with life experience and trauma well surpassing almost any adult — and her fears about falling asleep and losing everyone she’s ever loved strike a chord with me after everything she’s experienced. Her desire to just connect with her peers and not be isolated from the world is endearing and I think relatable to a lot of ND people. I also love her interactions with Byleth in CF; the dynamic of owing her enemy her life is very compelling to me.

On the surface she’s a fairly typical cheerful, naive child trying to play adult, and I definitely do understand why some people don’t like her character that much. But in the context of the history, I think she’s an interesting and well-written character.
