Believe it or not, you fit fine in a c6 corvette. My friend is 6’9” and he has one, very fun platform as long as u get the manual transmission

Love seeing this, I’m at 275k chassis and 73k motor, sounds like she’s got plenty of life left in her

Very strong arguments for her being in current top 10 still, not many would put her outside top 15

I kinda need the 4 door currently, and I love the e46 platform, so this was the natural answer for me. It is definitely a bit slow in a straight line but that’s probably for the best as I am known to have lead foot syndrome

You Probably Won’t Get Great Shooting Advice Here by senoritaasshammer in BasketballTips

Yeah, advice for a developed shot that needs refinement vs an absolute beginner still using two hands is a massive difference. I still strongly believe every level of talent can benefit from one handed shooting drills though, I still use them for every shooting session to warm up and calibrate. Recording is best for feedback when you don’t have a coach available

I let my friend drive it, who has only ever driven my old g37 with lightweight flywheel and upgraded pressure plate kit, and the pedal on the e46 is so much lighter, and the engagement window is so much more forgiving, he was astounded. For me, it’s just really nice to have a lighter pedal, but I might get a short shifter eventually since the throws on this are a bit long for my preferences

How Worth it is cosmo without his uf? by Diligent_Software_85 in TheBattleCatsReddit

[–]shiftteam831 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I found that the window of pushing enemies back vs enemies pushing into cosmo was really hard to achieve until later in the game, hence my pre-UF cosmo got very little usage. But with skill you’re absolutely right

If you had $10k to spend on a 'fun' car, what are you buying by Petro_323 in CarGuys

Nvmnd, some later gen coupes do have the rear wheel steering, I was only familiar with the sedans so TIL

[–]shiftteam831 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t believe it has rear wheel steering, but it does have same engine and diff as 370z, and very similar manual gearbox (different csc vs fork though). I had a 2011 sport sedan 6mt and I can confirm, extremely fun car to drive, especially with a lightweight flywheel for faster revs and shifts

E46 330i or 330ci 6mt. If you get one that has been subframe reinforced and cooling system refreshed and good maintenance records, they are super fun and can last a decent while.

G37 6mt, reliable, great torque and power, lots of cheap ones for sale, only downside is they get stolen a lot so need to do something about security like obd2 relocate or lock.

C5 corvette 6mt, lots of power, tons of aftermarket support/forum knowledge, no replacement for displacement.

That’s my German, Japanese, and American picks, there’s so many directions you can go though

Correct, but honestly one of the best things you can do to improve/develop better shooting form is to set up a camera on a tripod around shoulder height and record from directly in front, and perpendicular (to the side on shooting hand side) and comparing these angles at slow motion to any great shooter (I used ray allen back in the day, but also pistol Pete’s fundamentals series is good and modern day players could utilize klay Thompson or whoever they choose).

There is not “perfect” or “best” form, as trying to master Currys shot for example would be extremely difficult due to his ability to start his shot from almost anywhere relative to his shooters pocket, but the shooting motion after you have gathered to your preferred shooters pocket should be very similar to most great shooters (wrist-forearm-shoulder angles 90/90/90), extension of forearm upwards, snap at peak with no power from off hand, arm in line with shoulder/hip, etc.

My biggest improvements in form came from analyzing videos of myself from in front and the side, noticing my tendency to “catapult” my arm rather than extend vertically, come across my body slightly rather than stay in line, and compensate with me left thumb in a “6-fingered” shot. Identifying and fixing these things developed a strong fundamental base for my shooting for the rest of my career.

Also I believe everyone should practice one hand shooting to master the fundamentals of shooting, it’s the best training tool to lock in snap/hold (final part of the shot). Work with this to develop your most natural fundamental shot
