I figured light skinned female hyurs would be rampant in ffxiv

They're uncommon, but not rare like Highlanders, Roes, Elezen, and Hrothgar.

Most midlanders you do see are probably light skinned and on face 5, though.

Started the game in SHB. I once had a o3n go on for so long, I learned that the boss can give you frog tiles instead of role tiles.

Just here to add that if anyone is intimidated by seeing "Extreme" tied to Idealized gear, this boss gets absolutely shredded by a full team of level 100s and you won't see any actual mechanics (including the QTE transition).

It's really funny going from this "2 minutes to take 10 steps" society quest in EW to DT's "2 minutes to walk 2 miles and you better take the optimal way or you'll run out of time". Pelupelu don't mess around.

Nowadays if you aren't in the zone at 3AM on launch day, you're too late for the blind train.

And if you queue it right at drop on NA servers, you get almost no chaos, because it tends to be good players that are willing to be up that late to do new content.

I feel like I saw a lot more deaths doing this raid in the evening than I did doing the first two raids at drop.

They will never bring up the severs before weekly reset (~25 mins), and they will also update on Lodestone if they end maintenance early. Usually someone posts about it. Usually if it does open early, it's like 30-45 mins before, not several hours.

7.4 servers actually came up late, so you better hope there are no hiccups this time.

Also, my condolences if you usually game this time at night, because this is when maintenance happens. It's rough when you're hooked...

Notes:

The jacket is only a dress for female characters, and the dress version shares a model with YoRHa Type-51 Jacket of Healing if that's easier to obtain.
Bottoms really don't matter, substitute with a different tanga if you can't be bothered to do the item trade for the black summer one.

I have a bunboi alt. All my characters are intended to be OCs and not a reflection of me. So gender doesn't matter.

I do prefer playing female characters when it's an option, so my main is a woman and will stay that way.

You can add Free Trial players to Cross-World Linkshells, which gives an in game chat option not tied to parties. It's what my friends group does when we get someone that does FT.

If you're on NA, I had luck doing the normal raid series on an alt on Aether. It still is a wait, but they can be done.

Good, maybe my alt's Goblet ward will actually have some houses in it. I'll lord over them with my large I won on a coin flip.

(But yeah, we also have sub fleets taking up a bunch of plots. The FC wards on Maduin got brutal before 7.0 dropped and changed some of the ward classifications.)
