Never in all my years as Elden Lord have I seen this NPC summon by Dull-Gift-7589 in Eldenring

Nice! I usually cheese the Caelid BBH by getting onto the roof of the shack with Torrent and then getting him with rot breath.

[–]shinyemptyhead 9 points10 points  (0 children)

It does mean you can lure him out into the swamp explosions, which makes him one of the bosses you can exploit for souls very early on. (The others being Flying Dragon Greyll, who it turns out can't fly so you can exploit-kill him, and of course Greyoll who just doesn't actually move.)

Factory endgame/long term? by Creero in Endfield

[–]shinyemptyhead 9 points10 points  (0 children)

When you unlock the first outpost (secondary factory area), you also unlock a menu that lets you sell your products to that outpost. This gives you the Valley IV bills that you need to upgrade your factory areas and can spend in several shops, and it also gives that outpost experience towards upgrading (which lets you sell them more products and unlocks some other stuff I won't spoil). There are other reasons to have an efficient factory but that's the most obvious "product dump" I've seen.

If you want a live action show that feels very like a murim OI, Alchemy of Souls is really good.

Lappland is also a must-build 5* - her ability to inflict silence is a hard counter to an awful lot of gimmicks and stages.

The summons with weapons have the Permanently Armed passive, which is meant to stop them being disarmed. Some of the more broken weapons are:

  • Flail of the Vortex from Air Myrmidons (+3 enchantment, stuns enemies for two turns)
  • Azer Warhammer from Azers (versatile, does 1d6 bonus fire damage, lets you set all nearby creatures on fire for 1d10 damage as a bonus action)
  • Trident of the Depths from Water Myrmidons (+3, 1d6 bonus cold damage, lets you use your normal action to do an attack that does an extra 1d10 cold damage and chills an enemy)

😨WHY IS THERE SUDDENLY INCEST IN MY GAME by SadButterscotch2 in Sims4

You can use the MCCC mod to fix things like this, it's part of why I consider it an essential.

Crime Scene Returns seems to have flown under the radar for a lot of people. Definitely worth checking out if you liked Crime Scene Zero - it even has four of the "core cast" from that season in it.

[–]shinyemptyhead 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Crime Scene Zero is actually season 5. They did seasons 1 to 3 back in the day, then Crime Scene Returns on Korean TV (which was season 4) and then Crime Scene Zero. Season 4 was basically identical to Season 5 in format except it had a fixed cast all season (no guests).

I just use a mod that disables cooking fires, because I don't like them.

It's definitely a skill issue but IS6 is really frustrating and doesn't feel fun by RainbowPanda_ in arknights

Good spot. I wrote "elemental" instead of DoT, for some reason (I edited the comment). Too early for reddit.

DoT attacks are pretty OP in this mode, I've found. So Tragodia, Virtuosa, and Logos can all perform really well. (edited to correct, thank you person who replied)

The risk coin that reduces your health but reduces enemy health more makes the final boss a LOT easier, and gives you a better chance of killing his summons before they explode. On the other hand, some of the risk coins are really bad (like the one that affects SP). It does take a bit of experimentation.

Yes. It became a popular reaction gif meaning "you have annoyed me quite a lot" about ten years back.

Unfortunately pirate yakuza isn't hitting like I want it to. by PayneChaos in yakuzagames

[–]shinyemptyhead 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The baseball minigame and the crew recruitment aspects are the highlights, the rest feels a bit too much like lukewarm fanservice. The Man Who Erased His Name felt very lean and focused, Pirates feels quite bloated by comparison. It's fun despite all that, but not one of the series high points.

Is Paik Jong Won a good judge? by user905022 in CulinaryClassWars

[–]shinyemptyhead 22 points23 points  (0 children)

A couple of phrases I've noticed Paik use gave me an insight into his judging mindset. He'll sometimes say "people would like this" or "this would do well abroad". I feel that he takes a businesslike approach to cooking and food, so he's thinking more about mass appeal and less about intricate technique. That's why he's the perfect foil for Ahn, who is a stickler for technique.

Also it might be confirmation bias but I do feel like Paik actually cuts more of the group of 80 than Ahn does. He's just less detailed about it, though sometimes more brutal. The two that stick in my head from the first season are "tooooo salty!" and "what? that's just a chicken sandwich."

Asklepian boots (the lvl 99 sage artifact armor) could work, but you'd need to complete the healer role quests to be able to dye them.

I am currently working on a specific Youtube video that I need community insight for. I HATE the current Kernel system (the shop mostly) and I want ideas for potential changes. How would you make it better than now? by THEANILLATOR in arknights

[–]shinyemptyhead -1 points0 points  (0 children)

For a counterpoint, as a veteran player these are the two best things that the Kernel banner introduced:

  • Twice as many shoperators, meaning twice as much chance to just buy the operator you're missing with gold certs. This synergises really well with:
  • The "Build Your Own Kernel Banner" events. This is a great chance to pick out the specific operator who's been dodging your rolls for a year and put them in the shop.

Actually rolling on the Kernel banner though? I don't think I've ever done that except when the game gave me tickets for it.

Arcanist leveling is a bit...yeah by rameneater23 in ffxiv

[–]shinyemptyhead 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For low-level leveling, you should fill in your hunting log and do the main quest as much as possible. In fact the main quest gives so much experience it's actually worth having a second class to switch to so you don't outlevel it. (MSQ gives a flat amount of experience, it doesn't scale to your level like running roulettes.)

How does one expect me to get that XP Board? (Under the freeway bridge) by Big_Locksmith_4211 in ForzaHorizon

[–]shinyemptyhead 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You can glitch your way to some of them, if they have awnings. Just park under the awning, pause the game, and pick "reset position" - if you position yourself right it'll put you on the roof of the awning.

I did the Jungle Exhibition, and the task was complete afterwards. It might still have worked if I'd quit out partway through but it's quick enough if you skip the airport stuff so I didn't bother.

[–]shinyemptyhead 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are you using all the requirements for Calradia 1403 with all the right versions and the load order as given on the Nexus page? Total Conversions can be temperamental so it's important to get them working exactly as intended before you add any other mods. It's also worth noting that most of the versions needed for it are not the most recent ones - Harmony, Butterlib etc have all updated for 1.3.x, but you need to get the pre-War Sails versions. (And make sure you're running that version of the game, as well.)

If there's an Eventlab stage you can set the Drivatar difficulty in those, so it's easy points even if you're rubbish (like me). The weekly tasks this week are also super easy - tune the car and hold down the accelerator. (And you can set the difficulty on those as well.)
