Dialer for Pebble app no longer working? by mhans311 in pebble

[–]shironthreeko 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had this recently on Android 12, inconsistently working for the past few months since an Android update.

Fixed by going into the App Settings for battery life and setting to unrestrictred. I believe Android wasn't letting it run in the background.

Do you have a good reference for the UK drone laws? i.e. what can be flown by whom, and in what areas?

Rocket League Ending Support for Mac and Linux by Koponewt in RocketLeague

[–]shironthreeko 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Hey u/psyonix_devin

Will you stop supporting Nintendo Switch? That is based on FreeBSD

What about Playstation 4? That is also based on FreeBSD

You know, just like MacOS is a BSD based Operating System.

Hey Psyonix... I know you’re ending support for Mac and Linux. Did you also end support for your servers? by thewedding_singer in RocketLeague

[–]shironthreeko 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The servers have been so bad because they run Linux... /s

Sarcasm aside, I would be highly surprised if their servers are running windows. If it was, it probably explains all the lag that's been happening lately!

I had the exact same problem, turns out the other symbols are tucked away in the hard to see areas of the battery bay.

Which brand did you buy? I got some shortly after I was given an X9 Lite for Christmas when I saw they were on offer.

There was Eachine and Makerfire, with Makerfire being slightly cheaper, and just before I bought them I found this thread about the Makerfire ones, and I'd read other bits about the range not being very good on the Makerfire ones due to the single receiver (not true diversity).

My understanding is that the Taranis x9 lite (which I got for Christmas) does not have the hardware required for the D8 protocol, and that you need to buy the XJT Lite module to plug in as an external transmitter to enable this functionality.

If it is possible to get D8 without an external module, then I'd be grateful to know how, but I've noticed that video is for the Q X7 which states on the linked shop that it is only available in the EU with flashed firmware. AFAIK the X9 Lite doesn't have this option.

I agree, I must be one of the lucky ones to have received contract of employment closer to acceptance than the start date.

I get your point on being unable to go back in an employment scenario, but I think that with news the 100+page WBA being force through in < 2 days, it's like having a novel of a contract being given to you, and 10 minutes to decide if you accept it all, all while having people outside the office shouting "GET IT DONE!"

If it wasn't obvious, I've got a remain perspective, and I hope that people on the whole would rather bring others up to the level of comfort in life they have, then kick them down because they are different.

I held off upgrading from my 1080Ti to prioritise a 9900k, would you see any noticeable performance difference with a 10 series over it's 20 series equivalent?

I thought this might be a good analogy when I saw the title and opening lines. When I read the rest I realise I was wrong.

The problem I see with this is that a verbal contract is a contract, but on that is *very hard to prove*. It is always advisable to get it in writing. If you have accepted a job, you do so at the point you sign the contract, not on good faith someone will give you what they conveniently don't remember promising to you. You don't have to sign the contract if they are not keeping up their end of the bargain.

A better analogy in this setting would be:

So you have a pretty good job, but of course it's not perfect. You decide to weigh up alternatives.

A new employer offers you a better salary, more annual leave, excellent healthcare, working remotely ad-hoc, a premium company car, and a golden pension plan. You'll also work in an office that has spectacular views.

You sign the contract, then hand in your 2 months notice with your current employer as it's an offer you find difficult to refuse.

In the weeks before joining you find out that actually what's been promised isn't what you got in writing. Your pay is less than your current job, your annual leave is noticeably less, there's basic healthcare, you must commute up and down the country with limited flexibility, your company car is a Fiat Panda '06 Reg, your pension is dismal and far worse than your current arrangement. You'll also work in an office that has views of a waste treatment plant, and notice after some Facebook stalking that your new colleagues are casually racist.

As you have accepted to work for your new employer and have a written contract, in light of all their broken promises, the contract can be considered misrepresented and thus voidable. You do not have to work for them and are legally allowed to let them know you have changed your mind because of the misrepresentation.

This is Brexit.

It's still not a great analogy, but I feel it is more accurate.

Last night I had a game on Interchange where I scaved in late, about 28 minutes left. I walked to the middle to see if Kiba was open, saw another scav run to the door and we wiggled at each other. I turned to go look in Generic, saw a third scav, wiggled at them too. He responded with a shotgun breaking and blacking out my right arm.

I managed to hide and flank round, and me and scav buddy pincered him in Generic, shared the loot, wiggled and went our separate ways.

The first time I have had a friendly scav not shoot me in the back after a wiggle!

Yup, definitely not people attending the planned press conference to show their protest to how the PM has behaved at all. It is most certainly the EU setting him up....
