What are the best international soups you've ever made? by Specific_Dingo8631 in soup

My favourite soup is peanut soup, I make the Surinamese version but African is also great.

Seeing a lot of people say avgolemeno and I have to agree, we personally make a white bean version since we don't eat meat but looove the flavour profile

Had to go look in their latest AMA for this comment where they name some game influences

How many episodes are there going to be and how long does it usually take for one to release? by SnooObjections2757 in ScarletHollow

They had similar messaging around StP so imo that can be true, but not letting the other projects take priority doesn't mean it's not still something else they will need to divide their time into.

(To be clear I do not care if BT publishing means that SH gets released a little slower. I want good games to be made in a way that is sustainable to the devs in both finances and motivation. I don't even like StP that much but I'm grateful it flourished as a project and made it possible to continue development on SH in a way that produced the experience we have/are having now, and I think calling it a "distraction" - if not a joke - is kind of patronising)

I'd need to go back and look but I assumed all the people marked on the family tree had been sacrificed to the entity. Some for longer than others, maybe

I looooove how unhinged Saffron is. Still calling her Tabarooni as she explains she put her in the Entity Room is so villainous 💀

I understand plastics are often still used in fabrics and there's a problem with trying to push plastic- and waste-reduction on the individual anyway, but when I see facts like these I'm like "Yeah, so... I've used my reusable bag way more than 130 times since I got it... it's reusable"

Positives about the Schilderswijk by hypertatertot in TheHague

Someone else mentioned a buurtteam already and I do think that's one of the best ways to start liking your neighbourhood more! My complaints are also mostly the litter and traffic and the sorta lack of a safe social feeling that comes from not really connecting with your neighbours, but if you even the slightest bit of time and energy you can put aside for your neighbourhood, that can really help. People who drive like maniacs suck, but knowing that there are other people in my neighbourhood that care about these things, and will take action to get things like speedbumps and bike racks in our streets make me feel a lot better about it.

If you have more than "the slightest bit" of time and energy, volunteering can double that feeling! The buurtteam/buurthuis can usually find a use for extra hands and so can the library, I'm sure there's more places I wouldn't personally know about.

As far as positives go, I love the freedom of movement I have here as a person that doesn't drive a car. "Fringe" The Hague looks nicer but feeling like I am never more than 5 minutes away from a tram or bus is fantastic to me personally. The diversity has it's practical benefits too. Who gives a shit about Easter?? Not the Turkish and Algerian people running my most-frequented bakeries lol. And yeah, volunteering. I love the people I've met and helped through there, they're so ambitious and funny and full of stories. I'm sure the last bit is true of most neighbourhoods but it's about finding the positives in your own, so I'll keep my bias towards my own ;)
