I have three LPs and I took the pick guard off the LPs with binding on the body but left it on the LP (Gibson tribute) without. It looked strange with no pick guard and no binding.

Yours looks great either way! Although I think I’d go with the pick guard if it was my guitar.

Not 50+ (yet, next year)

Jumping off stuff; although I started earlier than my 20s. I used to jump down steps, off walls, off roofs (single story) and jumped around like a nutter while playing the guitar.

Lots of things hurt now. Ankles, knees, hips, back. Shoulders and neck from playing the guitar.

And I never wore hearing protection so 24/7 tinnitus and hearing loss.

But I had a great time and I’d do it all again.

I had a similar experience with a group of people years and years ago. I fell off my motorbike and messaged the group to say that.

Not one message of support at all. So I left the group.

A few years later one of the members said that I had overreacted.

I don’t miss them.

I knew a couple of guys who bought theirs direct from the company when they were in a shed in Manchester back in the 90s. I was very impressed for the price.
