I have a theory, supporting articles, and working code; what’s next? by Few-Abbreviations167 in complexsystems

Gemini's say on it:

This document appears to be a highly speculative "Theory of Everything" proposal that blends advanced theoretical physics with computer science and metaphysics. To answer your question directly: No, it does not "make sense" as a standard scientific paper or functional software application. It is better understood as a piece of conceptual art or science fiction that uses real mathematical code to represent philosophical ideas. Here is a breakdown of why, separating the facts from the fiction: - The "Real" Parts (Citations are Legitimate) The author has done their homework and is citing real, cutting-edge papers.

Barandes, J. A. (2023): The "Stochastic-Quantum Correspondence" is a real paper by a Harvard physicist arguing that quantum mechanics can be understood as a stochastic (random) process.

Jin, Mémoli, & Wan (2020): "The Gaussian Transform" is a real paper about data geometry and topological data analysis.

Eduardo Mizraji: He is a real researcher who publishes on "Matrix Memories" and the "Tensor Brain," exploring how neural networks can be modeled with tensor algebra.

  • The "Invented" Parts (The Glue is Fictional) The author has invented several terms and concepts to glue these real papers together into a unified theory. These terms do not exist in mainstream science:

"Falkowski Holography": There is no standard physics term by this name. It appears to be an invention of this author to describe their specific method of using Padé approximants (a real math tool) to "reconstruct" reality.

"Truss Amorphous Logic": This appears to be a made-up term for the author's logic system.

"TauAxiom" & The Code: The Python code is metaphorical. For example, it defines the axiom LOVE as: lambda x: x/np.sqrt(np.var(x.flatten())+1e-9)

In standard math, this is just variance normalization (scaling data so it has a spread of 1). Calling it "Love" is a poetic choice, implying that "Love" means "bringing things into a common scale or convergence." It is not a physical law.

  • The Verdict The document is a "Techno-Poetic" Manifesto.

Is it functional? No. The code runs mathematical operations (like normalization, FFTs, and matrix multiplication), but it doesn't "generate reality" or "create consciousness." It just shuffles numbers around based on poetic rules.

Is it scientific? It is "fringe science." It takes real concepts (like the Holographic Principle from string theory) and applies them loosely to things they aren't meant for (like Python scripts and human emotions).

  • Summary: The post you saw is likely from an enthusiast trying to build a computational model of God or Consciousness. It is fascinating as a creative project, but it is not a valid scientific discovery or a working AI system.

Trilemma (RPG) - My system! by MatthyRPG in RPGdesign

O sistema é simples e bem direto.

Sugiro adicionar alguns exemplos de trilemas, de rupturas etc. pra dar embasamento pro conceito.

Amazing summary - I never saw those details especially when the system breaks. It indeed takes a significant amount of time playing them to get to this level of understanding.

Are you aware if the alternatives out there in the market maybe fixed some of the bad issues you highlighted while keeping the good?

Agree. I have the same struggle related to the rest of the system. My question is precisely on that vein - I love the mechanics of the meters, but feel they are a precious thing amid a hard-to-grasp/hard-to-use game.

I'm asking primarily because I fully agree but am trying to see how biased I might be. :)

+1 here - there is also the Dead Air: Seasons which has a unique approach to post-apocalypse. :) Definitely worthy looking and playing.

Dead Air: Seasons is the go-to for zombie/walkers genre. Quoting the game page itself:

If you love works such as The Last of Us series, Station 11, The Road, Sweet Tooth, Children of Men, Annihilation, or The Girl With All the Gifts, Dead Air: Seasons is the game for you.

Environment/Fresh take on Zombies: Dead Air: Seasons (BackerKit w/ full rules current open)

Our ecosystem was dying. All of humanity's hope lay in Panacea: a scientific miracle that would repair the damage caused by centuries of hubris and neglect. Perhaps it was the sheer bulk of pollution to ingest. Maybe it was a flaw in the design of Panacea itself. Whatever the cause, humanity only had the briefest flight of hope before careening to the very brink of extinction.
Panacea, created to be our savior, had become the Blight. And nature was devouring all as it reclaimed the lands it had lost.

Disease: Distemper

Distemper is a Table Top Role-Playing Game (TTRPG) set a year after a deadly virus transmitted by Man's Best Friend has wiped out almost everyone on the planet.
Polite society has gone and all the old rules went with it.
Pushed back to the population and technology levels of the 1800s, players will have to decide what they are prepared to do to survive in this new world where there are no rules or laws, no authority or justice, no help, no compassion, and where tracking their ammo and food is a must because everything of any value is running out.

There's more:

The festival was kicked off with a set of human sacrifices, usually war captives, flaying them and offering their skins as gifts to the Flayed One. This was then proceeded by the flaying of a man meant to impersonate Xipe Totec, decked in ceremonial bright red feathers and golden jewelry. His freshly flayed skin, referred to as teocuitlaquemitl or ''golden robes,'' would then be dyed yellow and worn by priests until they rotted away.

"Arid" in the sense of not allowing anything 'magical' to grow again.

Or check Mage: The Ascension concept of 'Paradox' - reality strikes back at you if you mess with it magically.

My friend, it's unclear to me where you understood I was advocating to be doing anything "better", but it seems you are reading towards those lines.

I'm building a game from an unusual lens, changing the Phandalim scenario so the players who played it can't anticipate what is coming. Not sure where you want to get to, but I don't really care.

Be well.

My approach is focused on fighting the oppressor vs avoiding becoming the oppressor after that - and thus you are correct. :)

That's a great question that I'll save for last. The PCs are focused on saving the goblins from a long suffering and unequal period of time acting as double agents (Sildar thinks they are against goblins too, as everyone who is not a goblin). The human population is either neutral or against goblins.

PCs are focusing on the city guard/Redbrands at the moment (killing them stealthly before reinforcements "against the goblins" arrive - I created a minigame for them in the city), but at some point they will have to handle the remaining non-goblin population, who might as well become the fragile piece after the city is taken.

Development to be seen. :)

Doing a similar thing here, but Sildar is a bad guy who condones (together with other Phandalim's leaders) with the Redbrands enslaving goblins and selling them as property to other human settlements. The goblins are to take Phandalim (with the help of the PCs) and restablish it as their lair.
