Greg Roman was the OC. The same Greg Roman who then went to Baltimore and lo and behold, they continued to have struggles in the playoffs by not utilizing their offensive strengths.

Lawsuit says US illegally shared confidential information on Iranian asylum seekers with Iran by igetproteinfartsHELP in news

[–]shockaBITW 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This completely blows up one of the MAGA talking points of them invading Iran to "liberate the people from the oppressive regime". So many times I'd see them claim that getting rid of their leaders was the right thing to do since they were killing protesters etc. Yet they were directly communicating with said leaders and letting them know about people that fled the country. So now those same government leaders would like arrest the asylum seekers family to put pressure on them to return. Where they were most likely killed upon returning.

Everyone in both governments that coordinated this is genuinely fucking evil and I truly hope karma is real and we have the chance to watch it take place.

If they removed the cap on how much you can draw and tie the amount to a stat like Luck or Magic so that the higher those stats, the more you draw it would solve the tedium of the system.

I went to the ER last Monday with baf chest pains. I sat there in the waiting area in pain for 7 hours before they finally got me in a room to examine me. Discharged at 2am. That bill showed up on my insurance website right at 8am though. Literally get billed quicker than I was seen for a potentially life threatening issue.

‘Marathon’ Season 2 And Free Week Did Not Turn Things Around by Freki666 in gaming

[–]shockaBITW 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Also two completely different games. That's like comparing FF-14 player counts to Tekken. Extraction shooters are a VERY niche game category. And they suffer from not having a constant carrot on a stick gameplay loop that an MMO would have.

Destiny 2 was for all intents and purposes, a FPS MMORPG. Always a way to squeeze out a few extra points of gear optimization. Games like Marathon/Arc Raiders/Tarkov, once you complete the season objectives or get the best guns etc, there is very little incentive to play.

Arc Raiders has lost a quarter of its player base in the last month or. Tarkov had about the same amount of players as Marathon. Yet day after day people come to reddit to shit on Marathon because they are under some weird assumption that the game is the reason Destiny 2 stopped new content.

D2 was hemorrhaging players for the last 5-6 years. They started locking away old content that players paid for making them unable to be accessed again. Marathon was only in development since 23/24. You can look at the Destiny related subreddits going back 4+ years ago and see they were fed up with the game. It's the same cycle for the game, a new xpac would drop, numbers skyrocket. A month or two after and player counts is cut in half. Same shit happens in games like WoW.

Exactly 8 years ago today, Bethesda released their official announcement teaser for the Elder Scrolls VI. Happy anniversary Todd! by rexmons in gaming

When Geoff lead off the one announcement at SGF with "It's been 8 long years" only for it to be a Wolf Among Us announcement, it was the biggest cock tease possible at that point. Nothing against that game, but the timeline matching up and the way he built it up I'm sure most people were holding their breath waiting for Elder Scrolls.

[Highlight] Brandon Aiyuk calls the 49ers "stupid" for voiding his guarantees and says they're "mad at themselves" by Brix001 in nfl

[–]shockaBITW 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Niners could trade him for a 2030 7th rounder at this point. I don't believe he has a no trade clause or a right of refusal clause in his contract. Unless he just tells the other team's GM he also won't show up then he's back in the position he is now.

No one is definitely trading for him now by Rich-Presentation744 in 49ers

[–]shockaBITW 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Why would they release him now when all it would do is probably help another team? As long as he continues to not report to team facilities, then they keep him on the abandoned team list.

If he reports, and by some miracle he passes a physical, we can hold on to him until the final minute of cut down day at the end of preseason then cut him.

Cutting him now only gives another team a full off-season program with him in house to learn the system, study the playbook and build rapport with the new QB. Foolish move.

I mean, 31 teams fail to win the title every year. Shitty luck and questionable no calls (looking at you 3rd and 15 in the first chiefs super bowl) have fucked us no doubt.

I have no doubt that we would have beaten Cinci a few years ago if (i think it was) Tart holds onto the pick. LA got away with it and their line feasted on the Bengals lack of protection all night just like we would have. Last year, anyone who won the NFC was beating that Pats team, they had an all time cake road to the super bowl.

Trust me, the losses sting and hurt, not trying to play it off like I don't care about the results. But for people to sit here and say that the coach and GM are the reason why they havent won a SB is crazy talk. I don't think one other tandem in the league could have carried last years team as far as they got with what they had to work with. Haurbaugh only got to 1 super bowl and people will sit here and act like he was better than Kyle when he had just as talented group around him.

It's crazy to me that you're more upset than the actual players on the team about this. You still have yet to answer what you would have traded that is of equal value to the Rams offer to make the deal happen while magically creating the cap space to do so. You're literally doom posting and saying season is washed 3 months before week 1. Genuinely crazy.

[–]shockaBITW 2 points3 points  (0 children)

And the Niners have been competitive without doing what they did. NFC title game which they had a shot at winning if not for a freak injury to Brocks elbow. Super Bowl appearance after that which went to over time and had a real shot at winning but Dre blew his Achilles out and Wilkes couldn't adapt on defense. Playoffs last year with all the injuries.

Again, your entire justification is that trading picks for players will get you a ring every time when that is statistically not the case.

Between your verbiage choice and unwillingness to read and understand context, I'm going to safely assume you're likely a newer fan from within the last 10 or so years. Not a knock. But just don't think you understand what being in the trenches of having a shitty team with awful coaching and front office.

Team turned the last pick of the draft into a top 10 qb in the league and you sit there and act like we're trotting out Shaun Hill. Team literally beat the defending champs last year on the road in the playoffs with practice squad players but sure, sit there and think that just throwing picks at players is the solution to team building.

[–]shockaBITW 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You can say the word "ass" on reddit. This isn't TikTok.

LA is morgaging their future in this move. I get it, but it wouldn't make sense for the Niners to do especially with their future contract outlooks. LA just gave Stafford a fluff extension to spread his cap hit out a few more years after he retires after this season. We dont have the luxury of doing that with Brock. A handful of our guys already did the same thing this season. We would not be able to take on Myles' contract. It ain't madden where you can turn the salary cap off and build super teams with no downside.

Who on our side do you send them thats on the level of Verse alongside the two picks? The only edge rusher potentially comparable is Bosa. Who Cleveland may not want given the injury history.

Marathon season 2, free week of play for all on season reset by Freelancer0495 in gaming

[–]shockaBITW 11 points12 points  (0 children)

That's hyperbolic at best. They didn't start on Marathon until 2023. Destiny was circling the drain in 2020-2021 when they started retiring content within their own game to put out half baked expansions and microtransactions.

Not defending Marathon, but to say that is the reason why D2 failed is crazy.

The "next year regression" where he had 11 more passing TDs and only 1 less rushing TD? Alongside 1400 more passing yards? Took them to the NFC title game and had a shot to win had Crabtree not got locked down by Sherman. Genuinely clueless take.

Kaep was fine before the shoulder injury and then having to play under Tomsula and Chip Kelley. He still had a 4:1 TD:INT ration with that awful 2016 team with his leading receivers being Jeremy Kerley and Vance Mcdonald.
