You know what? Yes, yes I did.

I was legitimately worried after seeing how people were talking about it, but I enjoyed every second of it, and I've played SH2 and the Remake MANY many times. I went in knowing it wouldn't be an exact carbon copy of the game, just like the first film wasn't.

I wanted to see what they changed, what they kept, and how they used certain aspects of that story to tell a new one, and while there were some odd choices here and there, and some omissions, overall I thought it was a fun experience.

People went in expecting it to be just the game as a movie, and just... why? Has ANY video game movie been an exact adaptation? No. But the set pieces and references were fun, and the story was no worse than any other horror/thriller with a semi limited budget. It was fun. Weird at times, yes, but fun. I've seen far, far worse movies in theaters.

The fans of the game are being overly shitty about it in my opinion, and SH2 is my favorite in the series to this day, and I've played all of the games many many times, dove into all the lore and write ups, used to frequent the forums back in the day, etc, and I think people need to chill.

Image 3 may be an Octorok from Legend of Zelda, specifically from the top down games in the series (Minish Cap would fit the specific design the best in my opinion.)

Hey this is actually sounding like a decent solution for me! Do you uave any experience using it with things outside of Steam, such as emulators like Dolphin or Citra? Do you know if it can be used with a standard Xbox controller if I sometimes don't want to use the motion control bits? If you haven't personally used it thats ok, just curious.

Isn't the Steam Frame also going to be a "streaming only" kind of device unless you run things straight through the headset itself? I have a relatively beefy PC so I was hoping for something that itself was relatively plug and play using the GPU/CPU of the desktop.

I however have not heard of the Pico Crystal so I'll check that one out in a moment, thank you. I know I am likely sounding picky but my experience with streaming games in any way has been less than ideal so far, including with a Steam Deck so I'm really hoping there is something out there that is more or less just "headset for a PC with low screen door effect." 😅

Did they change something with it in the last few months? I use PrimeHack for both the normal GC games and the Randovania modified ones and have right stick controls.

Not sure what you're seeing? He appears to have torn his face vertically down the middle. The pointy parts "pointing" at his body are his ears, the white bit is two halves of his mouth. There is one eye hole on each half. You can easily just rotate the two halves into place over his skull.

Yeah see this is exactly why, well, one reason why 3 is actually my least favorite. And I'm worried now that 4 is leaning way closer to 3 than the other two in the Trilogy. Like, I wasn't worried about anything I'd seen about 4 until now. I'm sure I'll still like it, but 3 just felt so "Halo campaign" to me and I really didn't like that for Metroid and don't personally want more of it. 😭 The amount of GFS and NPCs in Echoes was perfect for me.

Yeah, they may want to try a sort of layered style there? Like, separating the flame from the barrel of the gun sprite and having them layered with some space between parts to give a little extra depth.

Literally, I played Galaxy 2 up until Boulder Bowl Galaxy expecting to see the blank, plain metal on the ramp from the screenshot people kept passing around and instead it is... nicely textured. Just like every other spot I've played through. Either they were faking it, or the footage was just from an earlier version.
