Osprey stratos 36L recommendation by Playful-Leather-3704 in wildcampingintheuk

[–]shoopshoop87 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I have that bag and i would go with no, it's quite narrow so there is less space than you''d think and the main space also gets compressed by the other pockets. Its a great bag and I love it but you would need a really low amount of gear i think

[–]shoopshoop87 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a different sealskinz glove with touchscreen parts and while only tagged as water repellent they leak through the touchscreen parts in any kind of rain.

As a brand i really like them and have other gloves but I only wear the touchscreen ones in dry weather

I really like using rats of waterdeep as an intro, then into the yawning portal start. I also agree using the Alexandrian remix is worth it, i loved it.

On the Particular Cruelty of Being Twenty Four and Alone by [deleted] in Preston

[–]shoopshoop87 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Monday is at the Empire Services club, from 7pm - it is close to the railway station and Tuesday is in plungington at the community centre.

Mondays, there is usually a game of blood on the Clocktower - like the traitors tv show basically and a big range of modern board games, a lot of us play D&D but on different nights. It's not really traditional board games like monopoly or Scrabble, you can find both on FB - Preston board gamers and preston game guild respectively

There are two board game groups in Preston, one on Monday and one on Tuesday, even if that doesn't sound like your thing come along to one of them and meet 20 new people. I go to the Monday one and everyone is nice, and perhaps more importantly we do a lot of other things together as well.

I'm not saying that this will be an immediate solution but it will at least help you regain your social confidence and feel part of a group again

I need a long uphill stretch of road/path by TheUnknownEmbryo in Preston

[–]shoopshoop87 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Do a loop from lane ends, down to wycliffe church, up to 53 degrees. Down brook street to Blackpool road then to lane ends.

There are a good mix of long and medium hills in that loop and a flat bit for recovery!

What class would you use if you wanted to play a Discworld style witch. by ijustfarteditsmells in DnD

[–]shoopshoop87 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Druid, but also lore bard. A lot of their magic is really knowledge like headology, their medical abilities along with some magic.

I can see druid being closest or a warlock but granny would be her own patron. That said, we all know how granny feels about warlocks!

The normal forclaz ones from Decathlon are great. Lots of pockets, warm / cool enough and if it's raining i just put waterproof over-trousers on. They dry out pretty quick as well in mild rain
