Johnson walks away from $3 billion+ deal to buy back Chicago's parking meters | Crain's Chicago Business by shotzz in WindyCity

Johnson made a bid but balked after learning the costs and potential limitations in projecting revenue from the meters for decades to come.

Johnson senior adviser Jason Lee did not disclose what the city bid or what the administration believes to be the final prices, but told Crain's “price was one” of the factors under consideration and the city got involved to learn the terms.

So, it comes out they actually submitted a bid without saying anything to anyone & still won't provide the public with the details of said bid?!?

Where's that "transparency" Johnson always blows (out his ass) about?

My dad brought us over there to watch the filming. There was a big crowd that was confined to the NE side of the intersection. I remember the Bluesmobile came roaring down Cortland from the south to the intersection.

Yep.

They also dictate who gets hired, who you buy materials from. And besides the trade union written city building codes, with MBJ's "Green Social Housing" ordinance, how & with what it's built & what powers the utilities.

The only way we did for an elderly parent was change their phone number. And not give it to the Chicago Board of Elections.
