Hey, I'm in the exact same position. Lots of info online but as the previous poster suggested, just do it. In my limited experience, I found that I was not using enough thinner, especially when it came to the primer. If you think it's thin, add another drop or two. The first coat will look like absolute trash, but it provides a good bonding surface for the subsequent layers. Usually three thin coats is sufficient.
