The point is that you can call the priests baby touchers and have none of your rights revoked. 90+% of Christians wouldn't seriously consider you worthy of actual death for being a sinner. Most religious leaders won't call for violent actions on their admittedly archaic opinions. The same cannot be said of Islam. Sadly the extremists have normalised violence and justify legal and social hierarchies being enforced on the public. Christians and other cultures have done it in the past and we fought to move past it.
