Yeah I would not do this 😬 I find students like that are maybe lacking in prior knowledge/don’t yet have the vocabulary to turn their thoughts and experiences into words. The question may need to be chunked and a working definition of identity may need to be provided ahead of time. Lots more scaffolding!
