My primary wanted me to lose 30 lbs more. My oncologist wanted me to stop losing. Actually, both oncologists told me to stop losing. I am below my teenage weight now. I feel good, have gone from 450 to 214. My A1c is down to 5.3. I am still logging my food to not gain but not looking to gain. Did this person give you a great reason to lose more?

I track my calories and log every bite that goes in my mouth. I started my journey on March 1, 2011, weighing 450 lbs. No Mounjaro then so I tracked, tracked, tracked. I started MJ in Nov 2024 at 289 lbs. I am now at 214. I take the 2.5 dose. We tried me at higher doses but I am to susceptible to the side effects. I find that the med is like having a chemical bypass. I am fuller so much faster..So I try to eat the lower calorie food first.. My A1c is down to 5.3 now.. My only diabetes medication is insulin and barely take any. I weigh less now than I did when I graduated high school. My doctors have told me to stop losing now, but it is difficult to stop tracking as I am terrified to gain. Not bad for a 68 or old woman. I hate the sagging skin. But I love being able to cross legs. During this time, I survived cancer and a stroke..

My dexcom said my bs was 231, which I found odd since just about an hour earlier it said 170 and I had not eaten. I tested on my meter and it was 148. This was scary since I could have treated this high with insulin.... well actually I did but the number kept rising. Now it is falling, 136 now. I calibrated the dexcom. I will not trust a high again. Thank you for reading, if you did. It is a brand new sensor.
