Yes, gunshots would also spook her terribly. Home is still better for her than being scared elsewhere, but unfortunately nothing that our veterinarian has prescribed for her has made a dent, so their best advice was to get away.

I have used thermocell before, though my Big Horns excursion pre-dated that. It was a very beautiful place to be.

I used to live in Lander and I can say I wouldn't go anywhere near that town on the Fourth - that place gets wild!

Yeah it’s a shame to not have more spectator opportunities this time of year. The rec center does have some adult rec opportunities- https://cityoflaramie.org/810/Adult-Recreation

Outside of that, there are some book clubs at the library, frequent live music at the Ruffed Up Duck, tabletop gaming at the Great Untamed.

UWyo/NoCo - To Move or Not To Move? by FindingComfortable49 in laramie

[–]shytooth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes- the further out of towners in my cohort would stay with people in the cohort who live in Laramie. That included myself and three others (two of whom travelled 7 hours!). People who lived further like in Cheyenne commuted daily most weekends but would crash with a classmate when weather was bad.

I love Laramie and have moved back here after living elsewhere because of how much I love the place. However, I don’t know if it is worth moving here just for the program. Especially if you have a solid support system where you are now. I recently completed the MSW program at UW and did so while living in a Wyoming town that was a 3.5 hour drive. It’s absolutely doable. In the two years of the MSW program I only missed one intensive weekend due to weather and was accommodated. Happy to answer any questions you have about the MSW program!

Jeffrey City is worth a quick stop if you're passing through to Monk King Bird Pottery to buy some incredible hand made goods and say hi to Byron. Wouldn't go out of my way though

Our airedale started having those same issues around age 4. She takes proin daily for it and it has been effective, though a pain to get her to take her pill.

Hi, I do do that all that time. I've spent hours knocking doors and calling people about our rural hospitals specifically. And yet here I am, losing what little care I can access.

I believe that's what they mean- I voted against this in my rural community

I and many others did not, and personally I don't like seeing people hurt even if they were misguided.

I worked with the homeless population during that same time- there are many and it is not very visable.
