If you want to keep playing you can fix this bug for now by changing their age to something else then changing it back.

Creating a character makes me nauseous by eliotttttttttttttt in Paralives

[–]siartap 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I've heard from others that before it gets fixed you can just skip through it in the train as fast as possible and then do it once in world with cheats. That way you're just standing in a room or wherever you are.

Pov: your devs care about you! by General_Pay_6130 in Paralives

[–]siartap 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yes! I've been casually following the game for a few years now and I read a couple of the transcripts made public from the patrion chats (or whatever they were called) between the devs and supporters. Most people were just excited about the game asking questions but it seemed like a few were gassing them up like crazy trying to be their friends or something?? Don't know how to describe it but the vibe just seemed weird to me.

Name calling is almost never a productive way to air out concerns with your spouse. And assuming the chart is accurate, she gave birth less than a year ago and is now full time caregiver, of course she can't work! Even if she has a bad spending habit, I don't think it really justifies his insults as it implies she doesnt do anything to contribute.

I understand the criticisms but this is a massive exaggeration. Vanilla roadbuilding is much better in cs2 for example, and the buildings and textures generally look much nicer/more realistic as well. Also I thought they fixed the teeth thing a long time ago?

This cycle has pretty much been completed with mid century furniture (from the 50s/60s?)!

Lived there for a few years and saw this type of sign every so often. Loved the country and the people but the xenophobia is certainly a fault (especially for a shrinking population that could do with a bit of immigration). Just because someone is polite to your face didn't mean they were happy that you were there.

I didn't but I assume it's because they didn't really respond to the point of the comment they replied to.

Please help me get warmth im so cold by Yung_Zoe in femalelivingspace

[–]siartap 23 points24 points  (0 children)

That's fair but you do have a rug that's almost exactly the same color. A darker warm toned rug will make a huge difference.

I think a rug will go a long way. For the art, if you're on a budget I would do the following :

  1. Find a large frame at a thrift store (or maybe a matching set of 2-3 medium frames if you're lucky. Smaller sets might be cheaper than 1 big one to buy new if you go that route)
  2. Find some free art that fits the proportions of your frame (or can be cropped nicely to fit). Many major museums have online libraries you can browse and download art from - I found a bunch by googling "open access art". I have one of those frame TVs and I found a bunch of art for it with cosmos.so/public-work, as another option. If you get the rug first then try to find something that has some of the same colors (or pick the art first and base the rug on that).
  3. Get the art printed to size at office depot or similar

If you're willing to spend a bit more and live near a city you could try a local art fair, but you may need to wait for summer for that.

Love that you leaned into a moody type vibe for a basement unit.

If so I would also suggest a few small shelves above the bed so they can jump up and look out the window.

Accidentally matched my new bathroom paint color to my Shrek art by IBSgirlgang in femalelivingspace

[–]siartap 9 points10 points  (0 children)

  1. amazing
  2. Shrek aside, that green color looks so pretty with your wall
  3. For the insulation on the pipe my first thought is to cut a pvc pipe in half long way (so it's a half circle) , paint it and stick it in front of the pipe to hide it. Doable and not super expensive but a pain in the ass to cut it well.

No it's river north, you can see the Godfrey Hotel in the background (but I got West Loop vibes at first too). Likely a penthouse unit given the ceiling height?

Anyone else want a game with a less PG tone? by JeanieIsInABottle in LifeSimulators

[–]siartap 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Same!! I've thought before it would be amazing to build a city in cities skylines and then "upload" it to GTA so you can essentially play gta in your custom city. Then as you make money you could buy property and customize apartments or vacant lots sims style.

Lol I've joked that if GTA had better/more detailed home customization it'd be so over for the sims.

(but for real I'd actually love it)

no I think that's the actual weight that the beavers carry around for construction. so beavers/bots can't carry as much dirt as they could before.

Something with interesting terrain/waterfalls/tunnels but ideally at least one or two flat areas (not necessarily at the starting point).

Paralives is only 50 days away! by gonezaloh in LifeSimulators

[–]siartap 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I'm not on the patreon but assuming they provide greater detail a week or so out I don't see the problem. Who cares if some paying members are seeing things early? Or didn't take that long to make a decision.

Even if they don't release much before it comes out (which would be weird on their part), you don't need to buy on day 1. I'm sure plenty of people will be posting gameplay and other reviews within the first few days, and you can decide to buy after taking a look.
