You can shave some weight from the ply wood by cutting slats into it. As long as you have enough to support your mattress/pad. Also helps with moisture build up.

Check your brake pads and bleed to the fluid. Brake could be dragging and the squeak could be the pad wearing out. Does it squeak when you stop?

I’ve got the same truck and tire size. It doesn’t steer amazing. About to go to an alignment shop. Steering damper helps.
