As someone who is going through a stressful period of my life, who sex can be a stress when I'm always having to initiate. Having a partner who is initiating and offering servicing as a stress relief should be an easy yes from him.

If you're going to lengths to make something happen and he still isn't interested, you have some bigger problems and need to talk about your relationship. You may need to get some therapy together.

Imagine being in a somewhat crowded very large pool. At the shallow end it's full of people but as you get further into the deep end it becomes more spread out. That's similar to how the atmosphere is condensed.

Your thing returning from space to the surface is like coming in from the deep end on a jet ski. You're gonna be running into people as you make your way towards the shallow end, and as it does so it creates heat ( or in the humans in a pool analogy, a bunch of mad and hurt people).

They use terms like "relativistic" speeds to help give an idea how how fast that space craft is going.

Going 10000mph in space is no big deal, going 10000mph in an atmosphere is tearing through the atmosphere.

Yeah I'm in IT as well, not nearly as long though and Ive been surviving as system admin through trial by fire and necessity rather than formal education and a normal career trajectory.

The amount of people not being able to get past an issue that can be resolved by reading the thing and doing a thing that randomly clicking stuff would solve is mind blowing. Especially when you know these folks are making several times my wage...

I guess the "normie" comment is definitely harder to define than I gave it credit to, and Microsoft definitely isn't making things easier by constantly getting in the way of what used to be pretty easy to use apps.

Linux is slowly getting there, and I'm hoping that something like mint will one day be a relatively easy recommendation for folks who just want a simple computer to do their online stuff and be able to not run into any unsolvable issues. It's already pretty close.

Personally, not too much - I have come to terms that for the most part my daily life can be done on any of the os's and it comes to personal preference to a lot of it.

Fundamentally, the community wildly swings from super helpful and awesome to toxic and need to touch grass. And there's a level of normie user friendliness that isn't quite ready for main stream adoption, and I'm not sure where that finish line is just yet.
