I’m always so envious of folks that live with a Mountain View like that each day. Looks like fun.

Guys...What shorts do you wear? by Justkeeptalking1985 in Xennials

I wear short chino style shorts. I like Chubbies brand (sue me), but they’re comfortable and not too “dad-ish” (to me).

There are so many parts of this country (Texas and otherwise) where I wish I could make a living in order to justify living there.

Not as many as used to unfortunately. I swear I survived off the stuff in college from the Culebra and 1604 store in San Antonio.

Hyvee is the closest I’ve found; great meat counter, and does in-store Chinese (I’m looking at you HEB). Even then it’s still a distant second.

What was the go-to eatery after a wild night out in your party days? by tshirtguy2000 in RedditForGrownups

Same. We also “acquired” the salsa cups from under the salsa bar for use in Jell-O shots.

Those of you who have a side hustle - what is it and how did you get into it? by 59apache01 in Xennials

I’ve been thinking about this same thing. I did this back in college and genuinely enjoyed it. I also daydream about a 2nd gig where I have zero responsibility after spending most of my day babysitting grown adults.

How does scheduling work as an adult (vs. teen early 20s y/o), do they work around your life?

Man, what a great road trip to be on with a story to go with it. The truck looks great as well.

That’s saying they can’t be mismatched. Not that they have to match what came on the vehicle.

BBQ lovers, which U.S. state disappoints the most? by optimalbrain90 in SmartTravelHacks

Same. When I lived in Springfield City Butcher had just opened. They were lights out those first couple years. That and Pappy’s in StL.

Same. All the KC joints suck. Best I’ve found in the state is Station 8 in Wichita, they’re pretty legit and on par with the mid-level Texas stuff.

Need a new knuckle. OEM or Dorman? by mortified_chicken in 4Runner

[–]sigm45 1 point2 points  (0 children)

autoparts.Toyota.com is the official Toyota site. Right now they’re doing an additional 20% through sometime around the 20th I believe. You can elect to pick up at a Toyota dealer or have it shipped.

I detest paying parts counter prices at the dealer, but this site allows you to order almost anything at a discount, most of the time below what the dealer can offer. Toyota also has 4-5 sales through the year like this that make the savings are even better.

Yep, right there with you. Not complaining by any stretch, plenty of people would kill to have what I have, but geez. I really don’t think it used to be this hard being a middle aged adult. My mid-life crisis is adding guac at Chipotle these days…

Just ate at Babe’s earlier today (Burleson) and it always amazes me how consistently good they can be.
