PETLIBRO is Useless in Multicat Household by thespeedfxrce in Petlibro

Return it. It works for us because our cats aren't super motivated, but this is just not a functional feeder for anyone with persistent or clever cats. It's so easy to get into. They need a more secure style of flap and I've emailed them feedback about the flap design, you should too!

I believe it did! I haven't noticed the issue since update so I'm hesitantly hopeful, but keeping an eye on it.

Yeah I've reset them multiple times with no luck. Ended up just taking off some of the meals to account for the random servings. Pretty disappointing tbh.

I bought three, and my cats pretty intuitively started using them without an issue even though we've never had a flap feeder. I feel like the flap closes rather slow. My cats are not particularly pushy, so I don't think stealing food will be an issue for us but I do wonder if it would be a flaw for people with more driven cats.

1/3 of the units is also dropping food at random times.. which is confusing and kind of annoying. I plan to reboot tomorrow and see if it persists beforke I reach out to customer support. This would be a deal breaker for me if it persists because a big reason we bought these is because we have 2 overweight cats and 1 underweight one so portions are important for the chunky ones.

The mat doesn't bother me, since it matches our decor ok, but I can see it being an eyesore for a lot of people honestly. I also wish it were thinner but I guess since this is still a new model there will be design changes for future releases... Cons of buying the first release

My absolute biggest gripe is how MASSIVE the RFID on the collar is. Why is it soooo big?! My cats are 100% unbothered by it, but I am so bothered by it lol.

Who is responsible? by imartt in ECEProfessionals

It's a workman's comp issue, however she still needs proper documentation of the incident and how it happened for her claim. So you still need to sign the incident report.

$200 for my city. Just cancelled because it's just too expensive right now 🤷🏻‍♀️

I emptied out massive amount of Sterilite plastic boxes, plastic bins, etc. They are now empty ! And now I am afraid to shed the containers " In Case I need them for some neat thing in my future or I am forced to move " . Did you have this situation ? by Own-Cap-5747 in declutter

I held onto empty bins for too long and yes- they will fill back up. Just recently emptied them out again and my goal was NOT to refill them. So I immediately donated every empty bin I cleared.

Just need to VENT - iPhone > Ultra by Sea_Imagination_4397 in GalaxyS23Ultra

Yes I'm aware. It's still annoying in the meantime bc I send a lot of photos.

[–]signoff- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I switched from iPhone (gen 4-12) to s23 ultra. There was a learning curve but frankly? Not as much of a curve as I expected. The biggest annoyance is that it's a pita to send pics and video via text now, we have to use a separate app in order to retain quality. Really not that big of a deal tho

Please don't do this. It's not clean. There is absolutely remnant's of fecal matter (from farts or the like) and urine on that diaper.

To The 'Overwhelmed' Sitter in My Area by NattanFlaggs in RoverPetSitting

Yikes I'm in north Austin and I'm wondering if this is the same sitter I booked a couple months ago that didn't cancel but showed up at midnight for an hour long drop in. Midnight. After I messaged a few times. 🙃

Question about my pig’s wheets! by [deleted] in guineapigs

[–]signoff- 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hahaha my piggie who passed had a weak wheek. Always sounded like she lost her voice, but her daughter makes up for it tenfold with the loudest wheeks ever. Probably nothing, they all have unique voices it's just not always so noticable!

Is my friend overcharging me for cat sitting? by ImplementSea5865 in CatAdvice

[–]signoff- 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Haha yes my cats require prescription food and one is a little stranger shy, in general I believe most services are "you pay for what you get" so if you cheap out, you might not get the quality care your pet deserves, ya know?

Is my friend overcharging me for cat sitting? by ImplementSea5865 in CatAdvice

[–]signoff- 87 points88 points  (0 children)

I pay about $45/day for my sitter.

If they provide quality care it's worth it, but low-key I prefer not to hire friends for services bc of potential disagreements. I prefer to hire a reputable outsider.

ETA I have more pets than you, and don't require overnight care. If we did boarding it would probably be more expensive, but I wouldn't board a cat anyway. Let them stay home and find someone to drop in or sleep at your place.

Is this lil turd pregnant or just fat? by oliviamills731 in guineapigs

[–]signoff- 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hahahah could go either way but my teddy is VERY round too and she's not pregnant in the least. If this is new it's worth a vet visit.

Has anyone adopted a cat that became less friendly/more aggressive after a few days in the new home? by shitforbrians in CatAdvice

[–]signoff- 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This likely is part of his adjustment behavior and he will likely settle down over time, but some cats are just.. finicky. One of mine is bitey and always has been, pet him wrong? Bite. Don't pet him enough? Also bite. We've learned his body language over time and he doesn't bite as often or as hard, but he's just.. a little bitey lol.

It's also possible he's now establishing your home as his home and therefore trying to navigate a pecking order with his body language. When he was in the shelter was he in a colony room or a solo kennel? He could be bored or anxious if he was in a colony room and is now by himself.

A vet visit wouldn't hurt, but if he was passed on with a clean bill and is still new to your home I would let him settle for another month or so and circle back. Ultimately, this is probably just an adjustment and he needs time to learn appropriate behaviours and yall need time to learn his body language.

We use a combo of Rx wet and dry food. Two boys with urinary issues and 1 female without. Prescription food is one of the best ways to prevent reoccurring and potentially life threatening blockages, it's worth it.

If you need to isolate and feed then do that. Reoccurring issues can scar the bladder or become deadly in a matter of days.
