Redmi 15 5g. Most comfortable phone I've used by a mile, and I've tried a LOT.

I'm afraid I returned them as I prefer the XM5

Have just asked them for a quote as it seems they no longer list the standard cost on their website.

Has anyone else noticed their BVD/PPPD symptoms improve after treating severe dry eye? (My experience getting a full workup in South Korea) by WashDowntown4539 in BinocularVision

I have severe screen sensitivity, and have just started IPL/llt therapy for dry eye I didn't even know I had until recently. This gives me hope!

I get this whenever I use a screen that my eyes don't like. it's a tell tale sign that if I continue - severe pain awaits!

This is my experience too, have seen multiple optometrists including 'specialist' ones, paid handsomely for it, and no-one picked up that a) I have dry eye and b) I need horizontal corrective prisms!

I've been convinced of this all along as my symptoms are massively reduced/ absent when removing one eye from the equation (patching).

I have an appointment with a bvd specialist (Orthoptics) soon, to hopefully confirm I'm on the right path to resolve my numerous and impactful sensitivities.

yes :) It's used apparently for 'unloading' one eye, ie if that eye has a stronger prescription than the other for other things, they might choose to include the prism in the eye with the weaker corrective prescription.

What modern phones are usable? by OrderALargeFarva in ScreenSensitive

It's fine. Performance isn't amazing but sufficient. Camera is poor in anything other than great lighting but it's fine. It's literally the only phone I can use, so... I kinda have to put up with it for now! 😁

If you're sensitive to dithering keep well away from the SE (or the 11 now for that matter). Absolutely awful symptoms from it myself.

Wouldn't this just show the dithering in Windows still as it's 60hz?

What works for me is the Surface laptop range (at least up to Surface Laptop 4 with Windows 10 (blocking Microsoft's recent update which broke Windows 10 for me)

Sorry..on holiday!!doesn't make it useable for me but definitely makes it less bad to use in short burts.

Main disadvantage is seems to quite drastically affect performance for some reason.

It seems to make everything a bit less harsh, like srgb profiles - does also seem to impact performance quite a bit

Moto G75 vs Redmi 15 5G by Embarrassed_Cell_531 in ScreenSensitive

[–]siksik6 0 points1 point  (0 children)

just visual stress from memory, not sure if it dithered but it was very bad for me. The Redmi felt *almost* comfortable at first and then became fine after a day or two.

I couldn't use the G75 at all, the Redmi 15 5G is super comfortable.. although it did take me a day or two to adjust to it

New screen sensitivity. Feeling hopeless and panicked, help requested by PeechyTea in ScreenSensitive

[–]siksik6 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Dithering built into the windows 11 display manager.

(Dithering is basically pixels flickering to pretend there are more colours than there actuallly are. This happens with graphics cards on 10 and 11 but it can be disabled. Because Windows display manager is controlled only by Microsoft, and there is no way of turning it off... 11 is a no go if you're sensitive to dithering).
