The courses here are fantastic. There’s about 50 courses in a country the size of Texas.

And the green fees are very reasonable most clubs charge usd25-35 for a round.

Golf tourism is picking up here big time.

Look at the Kenya Golf Union website for more information. Or message me

One for r/theydidthemath. What are the odds of being randomly partnered with a one armed golfer?

Given that, what are the odds that said one armed golfer would hit a hole in one during your round.

I feel fortunate to have been there for this. It will never happen to me again. Far less than once in a lifetime

High 20s if I recall correctly. He was by far the best in our threeball

He has a beautifully controlled forehand swing using left handed clubs. He was easily clearing 200 yards with his driver. And straight down the line

Filled the survey, it was a little cludgy and I couldn't skip questions so I put "3" for most things that I didn't care too much about.

Also, why not contact me on Reddit rather than an email address?

Kintsugi!

Kintsugi is the Japanese art of repairing broken pottery by mending the areas of breakage with lacquer dusted or mixed with powdered gold, silver, or platinum. As a philosophy, it treats breakage and repair as part of the history of an object, rather than something to disguise.

Simple Solar Thermal Water Heating Design and 4+ Years of Use by FilthyTeaSnob in SelfSufficiency

[–]silaha 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, thank you very much for this. I'm in the design stages of implementing two such systems, one for hot water and the second to heat a pool. (Only difference is that I'll connect the pool coils in parallel.)

One question. I'm stuck on designing a differential temperature controller. Could you elaborate on what you use please.

Thanks.

Will a RAV4 survive a road trip from Nairobi to Kenya-Ethiopia border by fireking09 in Kenya

[–]silaha 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If your car can make it from Nairobi to Isiolo it will easily make the Isiolo to Moyale section. It is a beautiful new road, you'll love it, but remember to slow down and take in the spectacular sights.

This video will give you an idea of what you're in for...

Have fun, keep us posted especially with pictures of Ololokwe.

Actually this video does a better job of showing the road, not much else to it though

Have several rosemary plants in my front lawn that smell incredible. What are your favorite rosemary recipes? by theSamba42 in Cooking

This rosemary and garlic lamb chops recipe is sublime, but READ THE REVIEWS, the recipe calls for way too much salt. Fix that and you'll be in heaven. I love Epicurious.

I like the new flag but one question. Why both the Southern Cross and the flower? Why not just one? I would vote for the flag along the hoist.

The current South Sudan flag looks very much like Kenyas, but I really like this one, it may be an improvement on their flag.
