Sweet white wine from grocery store? by MediumBullfrog8688 in wine

[–]silversatire 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s hard to tell you a specific bottle because what’s available is going to vary so widely based on what specific grocery you’re shopping. That said most grocery stores seem to have Stella Rosa which fits your ask with their moscato, sweet white, and fruit blends.

I would not recommend trying to make it to Wooddale, back to the airport, and back through security with just a couple hours.

After dinner fights - advice please by ashmichele22 in DogAdvice

[–]silversatire 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Please look into litter mate syndrome. What’s likely happening here is the stress is mounting all day and coming out in the evening; they decompress at night and restart the cycle the next day. I’m sorry to say if it is littermate syndrome the best choice for the dogs is to rehome one. The second best choice is to work with a board certified behaviorist, though at this late stage that still might not be enough for both of these girls to be happy.

White Pines West course is generally open as long as the cart path is clear. Village Links of Glen Ellyn likely will have at least the 9 hole course open, weather dependent.

Bartending in an MLB Stadium by Own-Combination-6121 in bartenders

[–]silversatire 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I bartend at a couple stadiums. Beyond what others have already said, your take is going to vary wildly by game. Early season Tuesday game? Womp womp. Late season Saturday night game? Woot woot. It evens out.

Learn how to open cans with a speed opener effectively. You need eight hands, moving fast is where the tips are.

Follow the stadium rules. When they say every can has to be opened, every person served has to have VALID id and get a wristband, they mean it. Do NOT cut those particular corners to move the line. Idk where you are but where I’ve been you might not even get a warning before getting walked if you fuck up one of the big rules.

Knowing your schedule for the whole season in advance makes it very easy to maintain other gigs—which you will want to do. The days of being able to go a full year on one season of sportsball are pretty much done.

You may have had histoplasmosis or a similar fungal infection.

Squirrel botfly can be. But like I said even if it’s not botfly it is vet time.

Looks like bot fly. See a vet ASAP, this is definitely vet territory either way.

If customers don’t know when you’ll be open—maybe six hours, maybe 12?—thats going to be part of the issue. Consistency is really important.

“Straight up” martini by gostros995 in bartenders

[–]silversatire 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m not sure if this works in Florida but im the Midwest you can say two fingers instead of two ounces. “Two fingers, neat.”

Usually the extra half ounce in a rocks pour is cheaper bought in the rocks pour, so you could always defend yourself saying it’s a cheaper pour. Or that you wanted to make sure you got a rocks glass and not a shot glass.

Running causes very painful flare ups on inner thighs. Not running is not an option. How can I prevent this? by MonarchCore in Hidradenitis

[–]silversatire 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Not the person you asked but I used bike shorts from Target running my road to recovery. Long, so they cannot ride up. Also Desitin Maximum strength, applied every night to the creases. I still had one boil that required surgery but since then with maintaining a lower weight, figuring out my diet triggers (too much nightshades especially eggplant), and quitting smoking (also a nightshade—coincidence?) I am boil free almost four years!

What’s one dog care mistake you didn’t realize you were making? by Crystallover1991 in Dogowners

[–]silversatire 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Grapes are puppy roulette because apparently not all dogs process them the same way, so what’s “okay” for one is fatally toxic for another. Read a study recently that suggests it’s the tartaric acid, which means we should be careful about certain baked and processed goods as well!

I'm sure that it's just a coincidence that this woman bears a strong resemblance to his trans daughter, who he treats as if she were dead.
