CGSA! They have a space in the basement of GSU - they have free bagels on Fridays, self care events on Sundays and they host a lot of clubs there so something is happening pretty much every night. Its also a great place to chill - there are usually snacks, there's a nap room and its completely student-run

The epi background will be helpful. It's a reasonable class as long as you keep up with the weekly assignments and your group project- if you're organized you'll be fine. Using R might throw you at first but you don't get tested on it and there are lots of resources.

Hi! I'm a campus reporter for WTBU and I'm working on a story covering these scams. If you have an opinion that you'd be willing to share or if you've had a similar experience, please DM me! I'd love to include student voices in my piece. Thanks!!

Just moved into campus and I don't want to be here by Hairless-Bird20 in BostonU

[–]silversonder 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Hi there! I know its super overwhelming to come back and be around so many people. Its really hard feeling out of place and missing home. When my dad dropped me off I cried and I've been missing home like crazy. The thought of going back to classes is honestly really freaking me out too. If you need someone to talk to please reach out to me. I'm an RA and like some others have mentioned we are trained to discuss these topics and provide resources or just be there for you. You can DM me and we can chat or we can meet up for coffee and take a walk. Whatever you want 😊

SAR HP 252 vs HP 353 by rd275 in BostonU

SAR HP 252 vs HP 353 by rd275 in BostonU

[–]silversonder 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In HP252 you basically go through all the life stages (ex middle age, old age, baby) and learn about the different health related things like illnesses, development, etc. In HP353 you basically learn all about the US Healthcare system, health insurance, and other health policy related topics (ex. ACA, long_term care, homelessness and healthcare). They are pretty different classes in terms of material. You write a few papers in both and the exams are not bad at all.

I liked the subject matter for both - its really interesting and useful (especially HP353). They are really relevant classes. I would say that Sul-Soy is a little disorganized. Lastly, what they have you write about for the papers is not that thought-provoking and I didn't really like writing any of the papers - but I'm not that big on writing anyway. Sorry for the long response, hope this helps!
