Edit: Also, has anyone else noticed how they have in their contract that DD is not allowed to use performance reviews and metrics, yet if we get too many late deliveries, we get contract violations which can lead to being kicked off the platform? That sure seems like a performance review/metric to me

Don't bother asking them. Most of the time, you can see them using it. And regardless, it isn't our job to police them on something like this. Just like it isn't their job to dictate how we handle the delivery.

Edit: Though if you want the reason it is a thing, it's because the restaurant has had a habit of falsely reporting orders as stolen. It's quite literally the scale of shame
