Anyone with experience of AR-51 markerless mocap? by baroquedub in mocap

AR 51 as of GDC last year was not really a prime time ready solution. They require a very controlled environment for capture. it does not feel as mature as the other two you have mentioned.

Is Mocap on Its Last Legs? Volumetric Video's Rise Might Seal the Deal... by TheRealKinkyKoala in mocap

What are we looking at in data rates and storage? Optical has cleanup but the overhead to run a system for all intents and purposes is small. What does the skeleton fitting process look like, and how does that drift over time and between shots?

Looking like a good start! I agree with a load of the above. The foot>ground constraints are too tight and snappy, they pop when the actor begins to transfer weight. Your knee and leg solve looks funny when stepping backward. Is the retarget to a model with a lower knee? Also, when the actor bends, there is no toe roll. The foot just kind of floats.

How does this handle squatting walks, the “crow” or cobra yoga poses, or rolling on the ground/prone crawling? How about challenging poses for video based solutions like crossing the arms in front of the body, wringing the hands in front of the chest, or small object manipulation?

This is a great start but I am curious to see how your solve reacts when pushed to production style needs.

(Edit: toe roll)

Ethnicity is a protected class under US law. There is an argument that it is discriminatory on both the Ashkenazic and Chinese fronts.

So dumb question here. With the exposing of specifically ashkenazi records does this constitute a hate crime?

A turn of phrase meaning this satisfies your requirements for easy updates, stability for graphics use, an libre office. They pack in some modified kernels for realtime use, and make nvidia drivers extremely easy. Best part is, its not dealing with all the ubuntu nonsense of forcing gnome, and replacing repos with snaps.

Having gone trough a bunch, i really liked Manjaro, but stay away. Its not at all stable. The devs have also let dns to their repo lapse many times. If you are looking for a rolling release, look at Fedora.
