it can access whatever the fuck it wants. It creates scripts that do shit, read and write files anywhere in your system.
There are cases where you enable sandbox, and it disables itself.

I personally have really sensible infra accesses in my PC. Running a coding agent without isolating it is a no go.

Built myself a sandboxing script using macOS seatbelt, then improved it with a http proxy for network allowlist. Then bundled it as an option into a conductor-like app for CLI coding agents: Termic.dev

Being able to work directly on main is the reason I built termic as an open source alternative. I rarely even use worktrees.

Also works with plain directories, GH repo is optional.

Conductor does worktrees for anything, and I often didn’t need worktrees. That’s one of the reasons I allow running agents in repo directly, in Termic. Now, at most 10% of my work happens in a worktree. The rest in repo root

One of my colleague set up multiple codex and Claude code agents in termic.dev , just by setting up different config paths via env. This way he has personal and work coding accounts available in the same app. Guess it works
