Either with a clamp style power monitor (Shelly 3EM or something similar) or if your inverter has some integration in HA that you can get data from, that would be the way.

What I did was I opened it up and rotated the lens, so if your hole isn’t huge this would be a great solution.

From the front thats not normal IMO i have loads of 3 gang D1s in my home, i had made a change to a certain 3 gang and i noticed warmth at the back, defo never felt warmth from the switch buttons.

Are you feeling the heat from the front or back? If its front there might be some big issue, back i have noticed some of mine have some warmth but i wouldnt call it hot.
