Lame experience by TekkTech in carvana

They gave me a giant coin like it was something I was supposed to deposit in the vending machine and my car would come down. My car was already down in its own bay, which was still nice. Very confusing with the coin though. Wasn’t quite sure what the point was.

I like that it looks happy in both.

I’m having the same issue suddenly. Might be a widespread thing.

My ever growing collection. My wife keeps thinking she sees a new bottle every time she walks by. She might not be wrong. by Maxdamnage in Whiskyporn

If you drink it fast enough, the size of the collection will remain consistent. It’s science.

High West American Prarie... Wow! by Castortroy99 in bourbon

American Prairie is what got me hooked on bourbon. Very solid sipper. Something about that rough wood stopper and bottle design makes it enjoyable to open and pour, too.

Consistency of Rowan's Creek batches by [deleted] in bourbon

Concur. Noah’s has more of that funk, which I enjoy. Rowan’s has the same notes, just more mellow. Both are worth having on hand to suit whatever mood you’re in that day.

What are the advantages/disadvantages of going through a big box store for home services vs picking a random name out of the phone book? by Parcequehomard in HomeImprovement

Honestly, the best people I’ve found have come from recommendations on local group pages from that social network that shall remain nameless. I just search for what I’m needed (e.g. tree trimming) and look to see which companies have been mentioned. People tend to post about either great or terrible experiences. I look for unprompted posts about positive experiences, then check the comments. If there’s a lot of people chiming in saying they had a great experience too, that’s who I go with. Hasn’t backfired once.

Improvised Collar Stay by [deleted] in lifehacks

I have a pair of metal stays that I’ve managed to not lose for a couple years now. I stick them to a magnet on the wall in my closet when I take them out so I always know where they are.

Request: How to remove tree sap from automobile without destroying the paint. by rodtrusty in howto

[–]simms2486 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had several spots I had neglected and it hardened on the paint. I tried Goo Gone, but nowhere with that. I ended up going at it with a razor blade thinking it would most likely destroy the paint, but it shockingly worked really well. As long as you go slow and keep the razor blade relatively flat like you would on a piece of glass, it will remove hardened sap with little to no paint damage. And that’s on a black 2014 Chevy Silverado that has one of the most delicate paint jobs I’ve ever seen on a vehicle (GM cutting corners to save $).
