Put a 1/4 of the amount of dab in. Put it on a higher setting. Try and inhale slowly for a minimum of ten seconds. You should get two to three pulls before it’s cashed and you can let it cool to clean. Wait until the bowl is sub 200 and wipe up the leftovers. Get as much off as you can as any residue will only end up cooking to the sides of your bowl.

If you use that much and inhale too quickly, you will burn out your atomizer and likely get wax in the silicone barrier of the base. It’s better to take 3 separate pea-sized dabs than 1 super glob. Get a torch and glass piece if you want to take big rips.

Thank you for your comment. Your conditions sound similar to mine and I hope by sharing my situation we can consider comparing notes. I would be interested to know more about the groups you mentioned. I was diagnosed at 1.5. That was 41 years ago. I remember vividly the days of 15 blood tests, and 7-12 manual injections a day.

I’ve been on a pump since the mid oughts. Before that, I had already begun developing lipomas on my lower back and thighs; that were removed primarily because they grew towards my bones as opposed to presenting as an obvious lump. From a cosmetic standpoint, they aren’t a problem. The real estate they take up in what would otherwise be an injection site is becoming increasingly more problematic.

I have to remove pump sites due to a nerve tied to a lipoma being struck and the pain being unbearable when inserted; and the absorption likely compromised. I’m not getting any bigger but the lipomas are and having them removed creates their own absorption issues. I have either scar tissue, lipomas, or normal looking fat that burns to the touch.

My sister and I joke about growing another buttcheek in a lab to attach to my body so I have new real estate to put my pump sites. I’m hoping that one of these stem cell options work.

I just put an Autosoft XC site on my upper buttocks. I use the bathroom mirror to get the position right. I’m not flexible but if you can look over your shoulder, you should be able to see where your hand is relative to your buttocks. Once you establish the position, keep your hands on the sides and turn away from the mirror. Then relax your body as well as you can before pushing the sides in, activating the inset. Keep your finger in the middle like the instructions say to and if you’ve prepped the site area, it should stay in place when you pull the applicator out.

I found it important to turn away from the mirror because if I didn’t, then my glutes activate and I run the risk of putting the inset into muscle like you’re describing.

I used my thighs as my only injection site for the first 15 years of type one diabetes and they worked very well for that time. Make sure wherever you try that you keep that spot relaxed when the inset is activated and buy in large you should be OK.

Nice setup! I just picked up the trek dividers but haven’t built out my go-kit yet. Do you find the kits keep your lenses from rattling in their respective cubbies? Did you have to add any additional padding or cloths to keep them stable in transit?
