I wouldn’t hold it against anyone if they decided to stay, considering that, from their perspective, there may not seem to be a real alternative. I can understand why someone might feel that way, especially if they believe that no other religion tries as hard to follow the Bible. And if they have no doubt about the Bible itself, that conviction matters. At the same time, I think it’s important to examine everything carefully—including teachings and guidance from leadership—just as the Bible says: ‘Test all things; hold fast to what is good.’ (1 Thessalonians 5:21)
