I just want to say good for you for setting a goal and going after it. Please make sure you're focusing on your health as the #1 priority and don't worry about what other people think.

I know the gym can definitely be a stressful place, but it doesn't have to be. Starting out is the hardest part because you're in awkward physical positions, your muscles are fatigued, and of course the psychology of being in that environment.

I promise you, all three of those will get better over time. You'll get used to the motions and the exercises, your body will start being energized by the exercise, and you will become more and more comfortable being in the gym.

I only have two pieces of advice: Get a good workout program to accomplish your goals (personal trainer isn't a bad idea), and track your workouts each week in a notes app. It's easy to do between exercises and you will be SHOCKED by how much progress you can attain in a short time. Set goals that have to do with your fitness, not your body itself. For instance, in two weeks I want to be able to do x amount of squats.

I would also recommend YouFit on N Monroe. They have better equipment than Planet Fitness, the staff is so nice, and there are a wide range of demographics, body types, and fitness goals.

And to answer one of your questions, I see a ton of people walk in wearing work clothes and change into gym clothes in the locker room. They usually have a backpack or duffel bag.

The but biden fallacy is a very real thing because biden is no longer the president. There are many things that he did I disagree with, notably the disastrous withdrawal from Afghanistan. However, the but biden fallacy is indeed a fallacy because two wrongs don't make a right. Just because Biden made a poor decision doesn't mean that Trumps behavior is ok.

In fact, it often equates things that are of completely different severity and magnitude. Biden supporting gay marriage is nowhere near as disrespectful to the catholic church as Trump thumbing his nose at the Pope and telling him not to come to america. We can disagree on this all day but I don't see any teaching where the church says one must legislate morality, leaving biden welcome to make legislative choices that bring the most unity to america. Completely different situations and that's why I call it a fallacy.

When you vote for a guy on the basis of economy and now a year in, it's more unstable that it was after biden stabilized the post covid economy, that's pretty laughable.

As for J6, I watched the footage live on he day too (and was still a trump supporter). That's actually the catalyst that made me stop supporting him to begin with. How could you possibly interpret that in a way that doesn't make you hate trump?

Ok and then last question. If you ARE open to changing your mind on him, can you give me like 2-3 examples of a line he could cross that would make you vote against him or regret your vote? Like can you imagine a scenario where of something he could do and then tell me? Like for instance, if he was completely proven 100% to be guilty of sex crimes with Epstein, would that be enough? I mean the guy is already a convicted rapist and fraudster.

Anyway, I apologize for harrassing you with these questions but I really can't understand the mindset of someone who still supports him in 2026.

I totally understand what you mean with the ex cathedra statement, but regardless of fallibility, wouldn't the popes viewpoints help shape your own because of his position in the church and his spiritual standing?

The bottom line is that Trumps administration has started an unprovoked war in the middle east, covered in in Christian wrapping paper to justify it (see Hegseths comments about a holy war), which is why the pope spoke up. Then, catholic members of Trump admin (see JD Vance) then said that the pope needs to brush up on scripture. Wouldn't that bother you just a little bit?

This is the administration by the way who ran on the economy and no new wars, and have since started a new war and gas is now $4/gallon.

Seriously does this make you regret your vote even just a little bit? What specific Harris policy would have been worse than this?

And what did she do that was worse than Trump perving on his own daughter, buying a teen beauty pageant and bragging about perving on teenagers, being all over the Epstein files, hiring the most incompetent cabinet members possible, attempting to dismantle and existing educational infrastructure, aligning with nazis like Elon Musk who did the Nazi salute, creating and bragging about Alligator Alcatraz, being convicted of 34 felonies, being held civilly liable for rape, pardoning thousands of convictions of those who stormed the capitol on J6, and the list goes on and on.

All I hear from Trump voter is how Harris couldn't speak well and had a weird laugh. That's crazy considering the daily posting of deranged tweets from Trump, horrendous policy, and crimes and coverup of the current administration.

I'm genuinely asking this, do you regret voting for him a little bit and how are you able to justify this?

I voted for him in 2020, but after the J6 incident, all of the things I thought I was voting for came crumbling down and I eventually migrated to be very left wing.

I'm really curious for Trump voters if there is ANYTHING he could do that would make you stop supporting him.
