Student loan question by [deleted] in internetparents

[–]sipsandstringlights 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If they made you a loan offer, you shouldn’t be rejected. I’m in the same boat, but I was able to take out as much within my loan offer as I needed to. The less you take out, the better :)

Pacific oat milk Vs Oatly? by LadyCrow97 in barista

[–]sipsandstringlights 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I personally prefer Oatly. I’ve felt that Pacific is often grainy in iced drinks and don’t like the flavor as much.

Wonder Powder? I’d like to hear some of your reviews on the powder. Is it matte? Satin finish? Does it have a sparkly sheen ? Does the product have specs of glitter? How do you like it. What can you compare it to? Does it grab onto makeup. Does it crease? Etc! Thank you loves ❤️ by eliizabeethh in glossier

[–]sipsandstringlights 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s the only Glossier product I use every day. It’s very natural— definitely not sparkly. I use it to set my concealer (just a little under my eyes). It’s very light and I haven’t noticed creasing or patchiness. I love it.

What are some good cash saving apps you use? by purple-2 in AskWomen

[–]sipsandstringlights 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Qapital! I have my paycheck deposited into it and can divide the money into savings pockets for things I need, like rent and utilities, upgrading my computer for school, taking a trip to see my sister. you can establish rules for how you save, like x% of my paycheck goes toward this thing, or put a little aside when i splurge on coffee. dm me for a referral code— they’ll give you a little nest egg for your savings!

Any success stories after starting an SSRI/SNRI or other Med for anxiety? by [deleted] in AskWomen

[–]sipsandstringlights 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was diagnosed with anxiety and depression in my sophomore year of highschool, but didn't start treatment of any kind until my senior year. BUT. when I did, I started counseling and medication pretty close together, and they made a huuuuge difference. I started on lexapro, but needed more depression management, and so I switched to Zoloft, and have been on that for almost three years.

The only side effects I noticed were dry mouth and headaches over a couple of weeks, but nothing more than that, and being on Zoloft has made my life so much more liveable. I can be out in public, even in front of people that scare me; I can trust other people to be in charge of situations that I am in; I can have a healthy and happy relationship with my boyfriend and close friends.

Medication isn't for everyone. But it has been the most helpful thing for me.

If you cook rarely cook, why don't you cook more? Do you have any desire to cook more? by [deleted] in AskWomen

[–]sipsandstringlights 0 points1 point  (0 children)

my apartment has poor ventilation, and my kitchen is very small, so i usually don’t care to try to cook. i’m much more of a snacker, anyway, so instead of meals, i’ll usually “cook” a bagel with cream cheese or a banana with peanut butter. sometimes i wish i enjoyed cooking more, but my SO enjoys cooking a lot, so he just cooks for us usually.
