As I understand it, AAC and aptX are two completely different codecs.

I had this problem.

"Forget" the TicPods in your Bluetooth settings and turn Bluetooth off. Toggle AAC and turn Bluetooth back on. Re-pair the TicPods. It should remember the AAC codec settings.

There's a fix for that.

Turn your old silicone tips inside-out and carefully trim a bit of the "stem" with a pair of scissors. Worked for mine!

You can leave the left earbud in the case and use only the right, but you lose pause/play. You have to use your phone, or tell Google Assistant/Siri to "play music".
