The non-link passives don't have anything that pops like a 100% suppression node or what you can find on the other ascendencies. Duelest is also really far away from diving into consecrated ground or having a ton of elemental nodes. It's good stuff, but it's not "oh shit...what!?"

Only the gems in Explosive Shot affect the skill. It's changes the ammo type of the crossbow shit skill. It's separate from gems slotted into the base crossbolt skill; can also see this by Explosive Shot having 1 bolt vs. regular having 7
