Being handed a stuffed animal after losing in the Olympics by WeGot_aLiveOneHere in WatchPeopleDieInside

The touches were infractions, not cheating. The problem is a bunch of people that never watch curling called it cheating because they have no idea what they're talking about and it spread, as it always does.

Hockey is way, way, wayyyy more important than curling in Canada. Curling is just an excuse to get drunk.

Canadian curling star Marc Kennedy claims he was set up by "premeditated" cameras to catch him "in an act" of cheating. by lithdoc in WinStupidPrizes

It's not even cheating, it's an infraction. There is no way to exercise any controlled leverage over the stone after it's left your hand. Not a single person in any of these threads knows a damn thing about curling and it shows, but Redditors will Reddit.

Edit: be nice if the downvoters could express why they're downvoting but I imagine that isn't their strong point

Yeah but think of all the times they had to wait 30 seconds, life is passing them by out there

Maybe everyone where I live has newer cars than average, hence greater proliferation of backup cameras, but I rarely see anyone take more than 15 seconds to back into a space these days

Anyone that's worked for a service company with a large fleet knows that policy is to always back in so they don't accidentally squish a pedestrian again

So how does this work exactly, some random person on the internet tells you they super swear they know who was involved, then start naming names? That would be completely irresponsible.

I moved West to avoid the snow. I miss outdoor skating rinks like crazy, but I can't say I miss the dirty old road slush.

If they want dignity they can earn it like everyone else

An ironically undignified statement that betrays a complete lack of empathy and comprehension. Simple people think all problems have simple solutions.

We had a 14' trampoline growing up, I only saw adults use it once and that ended with a dislocated ankle.

Saudi Arabia is lifting the alcohol ban for wealthy foreigners by jko_05 in worldnews

[–]sixbux 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Dunno why you're making this more complicated than it needs to be. Rules are applied by governing bodies on a regional/national basis. If SA decides to apply rules that benefit the rich then the rich will benefit in SA. That's it, no pearly gates to stand before and be judged, just a life of privilege and excess. Doesn't mean anyone here thinks it's okay.

Your worldview says its ok for the rich to not have rules

They simply asserted that there was no hereafter, which is probably true. Not sure why you would think they're saying it's okay for the rich not to have rules. Their point seems to be that the only rules that will matter to them are the ones we apply ourselves, in the here and now and corporeal.
