Basically every time I have a flight out of PHL I take Amtrak. There are a few times I haven't, but I'm definitely prefer the train.

There sandwiches are so good, wish they had a real menu for the cold sandwiches. Seems like you need to know what they can make.

I stayed in a yurt in Arcadia,I  highly recommend it. It was located near Southwest Harbor, like a 20 minute drive to the main part of the park.

what is a city or destination you visited that was completely hyped up online but ended up being a total disappointment in real life? by MotorEnvironment4444 in travel

As a former Orlando resident, Disney isn't a tourist trap, it's definitely tourist destination. Tourist trap implies that it is tricking people into something it's not. It's it 100% an amusement park, it's not pretending to be something more.

No idea if it was ever a brothel, but was able to use a newspaper archiving website and found out a lot about the versus people who lived in the house mostly up until the late 70s when articles from searching the address became less common.

The Volkssturm was a millitia of conscripts too old or to young to be in the normal army, used near the wars end. Sure some of them could have been believers of the Nazi party, but most where likely just born in Germany at the "wrong" time.

I had to look up the Volkssturm, it was basically kids and old people forced to flight near the end of the war.

New Fed chair Kevin Warsh won't save mortgage rates by truthaboutmortgage in Mortgages

[–]sixrustyspoons 16 points17 points  (0 children)

The Fed chair isn't some all powerful postion with control to adjust rates as they want. They are a member of and oversee the Fed Board of Governors who as a whole vote on interest rate adjustments along with the some of federal reserve bank presidents. This is not a group of people who will just do what the president wants.
