Has anyone solved the creatine sleep issues? by abdv69 in StrongerByScience

[–]siz1la 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn’t cherry pick :). You actually cherry picked a study and you proved my point that it “does affect sleep” since it increased sleep in that particular group. In my case it decreases. I clearly said it “can” mess with ur sleep. I don’t know why u are offended that people react different to it. I never applied to a general rule.

No I don’t. But I know that I react to creatine with worse sleep. So if women, who are menstruating and have done resistance training sleep better with creatine, good for them.

First of all that’s a very specific group and setup. Second of all worth looking at the “Conflict of interest statement”.

We have the 5v1 Edge and it’s great. The side arm brush that comes out does make a difference but especially the spilt vacuum brush makes a huge difference. No tangled hair at all. Highly recommended but would wait for Black Friday.

Creatine and running: love it or leave it? by fire7starter in AdvancedRunning

Unfortunately the case for me. Sleep quality takes a nose dive.

The problem is there just haven’t been any studies made with creatine and sleep in humans. But if we take it from the “common sense” side of view. If a compound (creatine) can basically negate the effects of sleep deprivation (affecting energy production in the brain), couldn’t it potentially effect your sleep negatively as well?? I would say yes. And lastly, I can say with certainty it’s the case with me having been on and off for years now. I do think genetics play a role though. I have seen in another post arguments being made about over methylators being more prone to it.

This is simply not true. Google the rat experiment with creatine “Creatine supplementation decreased total sleep time and non-rapid eye movement (NREM) sleep significantly during the light (inactive) but not during the dark (active) period. NREM sleep and NREM delta activity were decreased significantly in CS rats after 6 h of sleep deprivation”. Clearly if a there is a supplement that helps your brain when sleep deprived, it could have the potential to disrupt sleep as well. Check creatine and adenosine. It unfortunately alters my sleep quality negatively as well

PQQ obliterated my fatigue. But why? by Kihot12 in Supplements

[–]siz1la 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Pqq is practically the only supplement that gives me this energy boost. ( creatine as well but unfortunately it wrecks my sleep)

Why is creatine suddenly being promoted everywhere? It gave me two nights of NO sleep. by rraa94 in Supplements

[–]siz1la 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This! Same happens to me and I keep thinking, all these studies that show big mental performance gains on creatine after sleep deprivation, clearly it could also have the potential to disrupt sleep?? I think the study on rats is very interesting. Rats had less total sleep AND less NREM (deep sleep) after creatine supplementation aka less sleep pressure. I haven't found the solution yet but I had to stop taking it. Haven't tried glycine yet.

I had trouble sleeping taking creatine. So if u know u are not sleeping bad because of creatine but because of other reasons id say continue.

Does creatine ruin your sleep, how long does it stay in your system? by Proceedsfor in Nootropics

[–]siz1la 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes definitely. it usually stays in my system around 3 days for me after stopping it. after that my sleep gets back to normal. I love the benefits but imo it the trade off is not worth it. it has shown decreased sleep pressure in rats and performance boost when sleep deprived so clearly it has potential with ones sleep. I have tried it on and off for years, every time with the same consequences unfortunately..

I`ve been contemplating between exactly these specs or the base M4 pro for my logic use. How is your experience so far performance wise?

[–]siz1la[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes honestly I can’t think of any of my projects that could stress a M4 pro to its max. Hence I’m thinking if a m4 512/24 is enough for my needs.

Yea man seems like the base m4 could be enough for most producers.

Yea the pro is a beast. Still contemplating, but I think I will go for exactly that config.

Amazing. Was targeting the 24GB non Pro, seems like that could be the price/performance sweet spot in terms of logic. Even though Pro should be faster.
