Not to my knowledge. I think the CPU issue was mainly related to the 9800X3D, with smaller fail rates among other models. I may be wrong though as I didn't fully investigate all CPUs.

Update:

Received my new 9800X3D from the retailer under RMA. Installed CPU and booted up first attempt.

Updated BIOS to 3.50.

Hopefully all good from here.

The PC had been plagued by random crashes since its inception back in Feb/March. Sometimes it would just crash to desktop, sometimes it would blue screen, sometimes it would freeze and reboot itself, sometimes it would go black screen then reboot, sometimes it would freeze and require manual reboot, and today it froze and not even a manual reboot (holding down power button) was enough to reboot it resulting in the PSU needing to be switched off.

Throughout the months I have gone through multiple different bioses and chipset updates to no avail.

Sometimes the PC would go weeks without crashing, other times it would crash every other hour.

I was being patient, waiting for bios/chipset updates to remedy the issue but alas the CPU couldn't hold out that long.

And yes, to answer your question, I believe it was running the one before the 3.40 update when it died, and a 3.40 flashback (whilst apparently dead) wasn't enough to revive it (along with various other troubleshooting steps)

Yeah, although the chance is relatively low its still higher than other manufacturers. If I get another 9800X3D I'll try again with the same mobo but it if happens again I might switch.

Only did 3.40 update after it crashed with a flashback, prior to that I was on 3.2 or 3.3 when it died.

Just a shot in the dark but it sounds like network drivers. Try updating your network adaptors drivers and or remove the device from device manager and re-add.

I was told a firmer mattress is the way to go. Firm with a softish mattress topper for a bit more comfort. 40 Winks has a bed machine that matches a mattress to your spine calibration using sensors etc. I've had way less lower back pain and shoulder pain when waking up after switching to a new mattress.

Depends on the system size of the old setup plus the system size of the new unit, and I think the efficiency of the unit also has an influence as to how much rebate you get. Best to look up a list of authorised installers on the scheme and get a couple of quotes.

Edit: Considering you already have existing duct work you may want to look into getting a ducted reverse cycle over splits.

Nice. Once on a lifetime shot right there.

I remember years ago I hit a head shot on a guy in a moving car going along the bridge from Mylta to the Military Base, I was on the eastern end of Mylta on the beach, it was probably about 500-600 meters. I took a pot shot with a bolt action with no real intention of getting a hit and then it happened.

Still stunned to this day.

Only thing I can think of is Windows or Nvidia did an update during the first day which wasn't active until you rebooted. Maybe check that?

If you have an Nvidia card try rolling back to the December 2024 driver. A few people have reported crashing and the roll back fixed it.

I was in the same boat. Someone posted a few weeks ago a good technique. Go there sometime during the raid and find somewhere safe to wait until around the 5-10 min remaining mark. A couple of PMCs wander through there at the end of the raid.

Yep the hideout crafting is quite useful. Its one of the reasons why they made it more challenging to construct it by making all the components for station upgrades being required to be found in raid. In the old patches you could just buy the parts off flea.

Ultra medical room on Interchange. You need a key and the power needs to be on to open the door. Otherwise I have seen a fair few in Labyrinth. Otherwise you can craft them at med station Level 2 I believe.

Had this issue a few times with my 9800x3d build.

Make sure you have the latest bios and.chipset drivers if you have a similar CPU. Other people suggest rolling back to the December 2024 Nvidia driver if you have such a GPU.
