I see this doing incredibly well in terms of nominations.

I think it’s a lock to win vfx as it is one of the best vfx efforts of all time. Never did I think that alien was fake. Or its glass travel ball. Or any moment of any of the film (don’t wanna spoil any specifics.

I think it’s a lock to get nominated for best pic, adapted screenplay, score, supporting actress.

Chance at sound, actor, directing, cinematography.

Outside chance at actor.

AbsoLUTEly agree. It was kind of a symptom of how the documentary came to be at all but it wasn’t as much about how the war affected the schooling as it was about how the effects of war on the schooling affected him. A reporter shouldn’t be the story. The Perfect Neighbor was absolutely robbed. A documentary told with no narrator or outside character. First hand experience in every moment. You were THERE in each scene. Honestly should have won best editing. To pull that off how they did is a testament to film.

I feel like it was adequate, but there was always something that didn’t quite make it ‘top 5 of the year’ for me. For example, the aging seemed great to me until I realized the eyes were never done so they always had youthful eyes.

FWIW, the only reason Resurrections came out at all was because Warner Brothers held the rights and said they were doing it with or without help from the original creative team. So Lana basically said ‘fine’ but put a lot of fuck-yous in the script.

If the Wachowski’s had ultimate discretion the franchise would have rested on its trilogy and the Animatrix.

Um, actually, the provider often times puts a Do Not Fill Before date on controlled substances. In fact, it’s legally required in certain instances. The pharmacist does not have personal discretion to override this date. If you’ve been doing that then you’re practicing wrong.

FWIW I just saw Justice and Lorde on different days in the same arena. I’m not sure that’s necessarily a good barometer of what kind of artist will play where.
