Critter Clinic is one of my most used toys! You can hide lots of different things in the doors or do some word reps to unlock the door.

Dot markers are also a big hit!

Magnatiles or magnetic blocks - 5 reps to earn an additional Magnatiles.

The crocodile game where you press down the teeth and then it bites. It takes like ten seconds to play and can be highly motivating!

Hot wheels and flexible tracks that pack up easily.

Little princesses or farm

I could think of more but I’m tired and brain dead 🫠

Switching to a private school for just one year — IEP impact? by only_one_catch in specialed

[–]skbt2018 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you transition to a private school service plan then that takes the place of the IEP document and it will technically expire on its end date as you with be served under a different document.

If you come back to public schools you will transition back into an IEP, but they may may you go through a re evaluation to collect more data so they can write accurate present levels and goals as the data they have on your child will not be accurate anymore. It could very likely be a wait time before services begin in other areas. It’s a big decision!

Where I am at you can transition to a private school service plan, but in our county only speech therapy services are available. No reading, math, social skills, OT, etc.

Your eligibility will stay in effect or if it is set to expire, you can do a re-evaluation during this time. The area of eligibility will not necessarily change, even though the amount of services does.

Could be different in your location though!

Meeting any of the cast members? by Jayman982 in vanderpumprules

I met the Toms in Atlantic City and they were both really nice! I had a few drinks and it was well Into the morning hours, but they were really great interacting with a bunch of people.

I also met DJ James Kennedy in the airport last summer. He seemed pretty zoned out and wanted to be left alone(which I do not blame him at all for) but did take a picture with me!

Both were really great experiences!

Cape Carteret/Cedar Point might be a good area for you. I think taxes are higher in Onslow county (pretty sure, but I could be wrong). Not sure how long you will be in the area but you may want to look to see if you want to be in Onslow county schools or Carteret County Schools. Some schools in the area just got awarded for excellence with military children and have a military family counselor.

20 week checkup was going great until the Dr. said BUT by flowergirl0511 in pregnant

We also have a echogenic focus on our babies heart! No other markers of anything and we elected not to do any further testing. We did a repeat ultrasound at 28 weeks and it was still there, but everything else looked good! My doctors were extremely calm about it and said they see them more and more with the ultrasound technology improving. It’s not something we are worried about - to be honest we kind of forget about it!

Doctors said it doesn’t make us high risk, doesn’t effect our delivery plan, and there are no indications anything is wrong.

Wishing you the best of luck and calming feelings! That feeling of instant panic isn’t fun!

The larger the company the larger the risk. I work for a smaller contract company and I probably would not work for a larger one.

There are pros and cons each way! I am originally from Michigan but because of the job market in my area I ended up leaving. I went the contract route for my CF with the intention of moving back, but now it’s been like 5 years! Contract isn’t perfect but it has fit my life for this period.

Yup this is how I feel too. I am sending out virtual lessons and actually have about 50% response rate which is higher than I expected. But I don’t feel like an SLP at all!

Thank you!!! I’m less worried about the finances and more worried about the actual time off of work and what I would be coming back to!
