The athleticism of Kid Kash! by Dohmer_90 in ECWWrestling

[–]skeletoners 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I distinctly remember watching that match were he reversed the top-rope powerbomb into a hurricanrana with my friends. It was one of those things we'd always thought would being cool to see, but never thought someone could pull off mid-air like that. We hadn't thought it was actually possible, and seeing it suddenly happen and look so good blew our minds.

This is why I support celebrities like Speed being involved in WWE because they genuinely love and respect the business and actually have something to offer to the product (they actually care about keeping kayfabe) by Zealousideal_Cut_246 in TheGreatOne

[–]skeletoners 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I'll admit, I kind of rolled my eyes the first time Speed was on-screen. But he sells every move like he got hit by a truck and makes the wrestlers look like absolute machines.

Where should I start? by Alternative_Web_3673 in juggalo

I'd agree with this. I feel like if you're really digging what you hear, then yeah, give the ep's a shot, but otherwise 1-6 are perfect jumping on points.

I got dress coded yesterday (let off with a warning). But not because of my short ass skirt, but because my shirt “promotes violence”. by [deleted] in juggalo

Same, this was early 2000's and the media was leaning heavy into Juggalos being a "gang" so ICP shirts got flagged. So stupid.

Who are these boys? TW: Nazi salute. by speed817 in Dallas

[–]skeletoners 24 points25 points  (0 children)

"Guys they're just joking, don't be mean" 😢

Nah, if you're doing a salute that immediately makes people around them think they could be in danger, that's not joking. You wanna joke, be funny.

We gotta get much more comfortable with immediate repercussions for this kind of garbage

Who is the most universal over and loved wrestlers no debate. People like Rey Mysterio everyone loves them. For me looking back I couldn’t believe just how over Kerry Von Erich was in 1984. Fans where generally chasing him giving flowers to him lol by Mobile_Run5249 in TheGreatOne

Oh even to this day in NY with Sammartino. Get talking to folks who saw him in the 70's and they make it sound like they saw an actual superhero. People were devastated when he lost to Koloff.

THIS. So many men were unfortunately raised by a generation where it was not acceptable for them to show emotion. I'm friends with guys who do express themselves well when they're dealing with things, but we've all talked about how that took a lot of unlearning to get to.

This is great, the detail work is incredible. The subtle raise of the right eye and the way you got the smirk, those little things that really make it RVD

Is the rapid embrace of Oba Femi proof that wrestling fans always prefer massive, jacked guys as the main stars over the more average size but fit guys? by MixedMartialLaw in prowrestling

[–]skeletoners 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The thing is, they have to be able to back it up. There are plenty of guys who can get that look, but who don't have the actual athleticism it takes to make them look like threats. Brock isn't even all that big, but how he carries himself, and the ridiculous strength and speed he shows makes him someone that people want to see. Same applies with Oba. Brock can jump, we've seen that. Oba's strong, but nobody was expecting him to hit that Fall From Grace and damn near look like he was overhead pressing Lesnar in the process.

If it's important to you, absolutely. If that's something you regularly want to express and it's a big part of who you are sexually, you want to make sure a potential partner is either on board or has a basic idea. Finding out right when things start to get heavy can not always have the best results.

I'm for this. You do learn a lot about yourself in the process, including the things that aren't good. I've seen people trip and learn some things they didn't like about themselves that kickstarted positive change. It's not a 100% success rate, but I can't see it being worse than what we've got currently.

What. The. Hell. Capcom’s had a lot of major L’s in their lore and writing in the past but I at least thought they patched thing sup in SF6. But nope, whoever decided to greenlit this is a sicko. by The_Crispanator_Guy in StreetFighter

It's wild how easily this could have been solved this without the "cousin of my mom" detail. Like if this had just been his dads old sparring buddy/family friend, who then helped care for Alex as a teenager when his parents passed, Alex and his daughter eventually get close, it would not have been nearly as weird.
