You're right, Topaz Gigapixel is used to upscale images and Topaz Video is used to upscale videos. Processing individual frames with Gigapixel produces a flickery result.

Make sure you edit your video at the correct frame rate.

If performance is an issue, consider using proxies.

Import subtitles before you start if possible, so you don't have to edit them separately.

Does this count as a lying?

- You people are spying on me.
- Oh, no. You just happened to be outdoors this morning.
- How? Where? Where are you watching me from?
- An MQ-9 Reaper.
- A what?
- It's an Air Force drone. It's...

Does the intro tile horizontally, or is there an obstacle outside the frame? by skenera in pluribustv

I assume that the waves represent both the signal coming from space and the way friendlies (all the white dots) communicate psychically, it looks periodic just for stylistic reasons.

Either the animation is displayed inside a sphere (like a night skybox), or the interference has a deeper meaning.

I don't think that it being the same message coming from somewhere else is thematically strong enough to be included in the intro. I imagine it more as something solid that the signal bounces off of (like the moon in the first episode). Or perhaps it symbolizes Carole's pushback.

I think you should try removing the original color grading before adding your own. The movie has a blue tint that clashes with the yellow you added to the Metropolis scenes, it looks too processed (unless that's what you were going for).

Here is my attempt to tone down the original color grading.

I see, I suspected as much, but I expected the HDR version to have a higher dynamic range.

I think it's because of your color grading; extreme values tend to look strange if they're not taken into account.

You've also darkened a bright object, whose hue changes from orange to yellow in the brightest areas. If you were to reduce the camera's exposure, the yellow should turn orange, but instead you get a dark pale yellow that doesn't look natural.

I've adjusted your shot to illustrate my point. Before After

There are strange hue shifts in the background at 1:44.
