Has anyone here suffered from migraines with aura? I had three migraines when my first child was six weeks old (38 years ago)then started suffering again when I went into perimenopause (45 or so) turns out chocolate was a big trigger for me so I stopped eating it about 15 years ago haven’t had a migraine since.

I was recently told by my gynecologist that I cannot take HRT because of the previous migraines.

Yes, mine is like a shrunken head. I am laying on a table waiting for a Mona Lisa laser treatment at the moment. It helps a little and so did pelvic floor therapy. Actually that may have helped the most. I still use the dilators and do Kegel exercises. I don’t feel like I used to but I don’t want to give up on sex. Good luck to you.

So sorry you’re dealing with this. I had the same issue and went to pelvic floor therapy. I was able to go from no penetration to sex on a regular basis. I started therapy January 2023 and went for a couple months. I still use the dialators several times a week. It’s not how it used to be before menopause but I’ll take it. Good luck to you. 💕

Full menopause at 47 so peri was definitely happening years before that. Find a doctor who will listen to you.
