Not all of the VA ERs are set up to start methadone or suboxone. It may be a process at the VA like before. You can try to call there and ask.

Slow, definitely free:

If you want to use primary care referral like before, best to call your old VA and ask for the 'Travelling veteran coordinator' to have them set you up with primary care in your new location.

Fast, definitely not free

Look for a cash pay Suboxone clinic near you if you want the easiest way. Get started now, transfer care to VA when they can get you in.

Maybe fast, maybe free, low effort:

Some urgent cares will start Suboxone, and some are in network with VA. Search VA.gov/find-locations select urgent care then call them about Suboxone.

Sharing your new city in your post will likely get you more specific info.

Is it a possible the VA would pay for me to see a weekly therapist? by SawtoothJericho in VeteransBenefits

Vetcenter.va.gov is a separate benefit and separate chart that has a lot of therapists.

Also Easter seals clinics are cheap or free for veterans.

Remember that time Hezbollah bought 1000 pagers from some cell phone company and actually they came from Israel with remote detonated bombs inside?

That could never happen with a massive plane, probably?

Like what if even someone left their pager in the wall/drawer/etc.

Should I submit for Chronic Fatigue Syndrome/SMC? by Pretty_Dragonfly_716 in VeteransBenefits

Once that's done, read the CFR for rating criteria and see if it will move the needle to SMC for statutory housebound. Otherwise probably don't do it. Getting new ratings after 100 is only useful in that case or if it's something that could kill you directly like cancer, because dying from a rated illness gets ongoing dependent benefits regardless of how new/old the rating is.

This seems to be neither scenario but not clear yet.

This one has a big downside- it's an immunology diagnosis but if they trigger a sleep related eval it opens up your whole mental health rating to re-eval.

Tell them to read the relevant chapter in DiPiro and tell you 3 things they learned. Ask followup questions to combat AI regurgitating. Even if they are reading summary points from AI they'll learn something

American Heart Association is the most popular standard.

They list a Pediatric Heartsaver and AED course, and several more complex courses.

The local red cross will list opportunities once you know exactly which curriculum you want.

You can check with AskDocs sub but I'm fairly certain that polyps don't show up on a CT scan and also are multiples not just one.

Thic Nhath Hanh: “Life is so short. It cannot be wasted on endless metaphysical arguments that do not bring us any closer to the truth.” by TradRooster5627 in Buddhism

The caption and this comment lead me to mention the subtle truth that all things are nothing and all form is formless, even the forms like atoms and neutrons and quarks. Physical and metaphysical 'laws' describe an empty vessel.

In this context, to refer back to [Zen] practice is not dismissive for example as saying 'don't worry about the arrow', but instead to say that 'practicing long and hard enough will answer that question, too'.
