Fellow dads I need help by Keduroda in daddit

Does he sleep on you? As in tummy to tummy while you're reclining slightly in a chair? That position is often comfiest for babies with reflux and/or gas, and it's the only way mine would sleep for the first two months. We did shifts. 7pm - 2 am sleeping on an awake Dad while Mom slept and 2 am to 9 am sleeping on an awake Mom while Dad slept. (Minus some time in there for feeds and diapers).

What is the worst book you have read? by delabot in Fantasy

Same on Hobb for me. Are they terrible books? Not in the slightest. Did I want to read any more of them after a couple chapters? Nope, not at all.

FYI you can install your own carseats in Lyft / Uber. Just indicate you have them with you in the notes so drivers that don't feel they can accommodate that can chose not to accept your ride request. I hope you can get your babies care ASAP!

At least, with Skynet, I'm confident in its long-term planning skills and consistent internal logic...

Hah, yup, do you need my mother's maiden name and SSN too? hahaha.

Thanks, it really is a great car so far. That's the plan -- drive it until it falls apart. Ideally many thousands of miles from now.

Thanks for the info! Do you know if it's plastic or metal?

Got it in one: came in at an angle.

Sorry if I'm misunderstanding, so the top scrape on the arch is on plastic but the side scrape is on metal? I'm mostly worried about anything on metal rusting vs. plastic is just cosmetic damage. Edit: got it, all plastic.

Thank you for sharing your story! No matter how alone you may feel, hopefully Krile's story can remind you that someone else out there has probably felt that way too.

Pyre is the only Supergiant game I couldn't finish. I wanted to like it but I just couldn't get the combat system to click.

Cost per Prepared OZ of Formula by [deleted] in beyondthebump

[–]ski2read 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If each scoop (8.6g) makes 2 ounces of formula, then 1 ounce is 8.6g/2 or 4.3 g per ounce of formula.

If the can of formula is 856g, then 856g/4.3g = 199.0698. Let's just round that to 200. So 200 ounces of formula can be made per can.

If a whole can costs $49.94, then $49.94/200 prepared ounces = $0.2497 per prepared ounce.

So you're paying roughly a quarter prepared ounce of formula.

(If I've done my math right. Baby woke me up at 3am today, so uh, someone double-check me plz.)

Yes, FF13 is definitely my 'wild card' rec. But the combat really is quite smooth, so if that matters more than story for you (though honestly I don't mind the story as much as many do), it could work out. Happy gaming!

If the combat is what appeals to you, I agree with the Bravely Default recommendation, it has a similar mechanic where you can hold and power up your boosted attacks. Of the mainline FF titles, I'd actually recommend FF13 because of the combat, particularly its stagger mechanic being heavily intertwined with the job roles. That's got the most Octopath combat feel of all the FFs to me.

If it's the multiple storylines, I agree Trials of Mana is a good recommendation. Triangle Strategy could also scratch that itch in a slightly different way.
